WEWEHOME is a brand that proposes essential items for the home, the most intimate and comfortable space in our lives.

The arch-shaped WEWEHOME logo symbolizes the concept of home while reflecting the brand’s value of offering essential items for our living space. The wordmark logo is also designed with soft curves to harmonize with the arch shape.

WEWEHOME’s visual elements consist of typography, a color palette, and pattern graphics. The main typeface, Layfort, conveys a modern yet soft image, while the secondary one, F37 Ginger, was chosen for its simple and contemporary style. The color palette and pattern graphics intuitively represent various activities that take place in the kitchen, laundry, bath, and living room, reinforcing the brand’s identity.

Launderful is a cleaning products company that offers a highly effective, non-toxic, biodegradable, powder "laundry stripper" that deep-cleans and sustains soft goods better (and more Earth-friendly) than most commercial detergents.

The logotype used Tomato Grotesk Bold with an L that was customised by the designers, Outfit. Tomato Grotesk is used throughout the rest of the branding in various weights from Black to Light.

An all lowercase light box sign for a pressing service located at Boulevard de Magenta 48 near Gare du Nord, Paris. Image shot October 2022, artwork date and designer unknown. The shop has shut doors, and the sign was luckily left in place. On the left of the sign appears what could be a logo/monogram consisting of the characters m and p, like the name of the service set in Bau – a typeface issued by Mecanorma in 1972.

République Studio created the visual identity, signage, and the packaging for the Lacoste Pressing store, located at 51 Rue de Turenne in Paris, commissioned by Aimko. A rare occurrence for a boutique, it even caught the attention of the 20h news, which featured it in a segment ;)

This year marks the 90th anniversary of Lacoste. To celebrate the occasion, the brand launched a pop-up store during Roland Garros, showcasing 90 years of style. The exhibition highlights archival pieces, iconic tournament silhouettes, and also the reissued limited edition Tennis 1992 collection.

Control Studio used F37 Judge and New Spirit Condensed to create a bold new visual identity that can’t be ignored. The entire brand is based on a commitment to eco-justice, something Pinkish Pods is actively working to achieve. This is expressed with an iconic handcrafted organic logo underpinned by quirky badges that express what Pinkish Pods stands for. This brand offers a powerful new visual language and indeed an approach to branding that is truly beyond expectation.

Founded in 1898, A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. became one of the largest processors of corn in the United States. In addition to Sta-Puf and Sta-Flo, the company also produced other famous food and household brands including Cream Corn Starch, Staley Pancake and Waffle Syrup, and Sno Bol toilet bowl cleaner. The food and household brands were sold to Purex Industries, Inc. in 1981.

Askip is an associative art gallery, a laundromat, and a cafe located in the building of the Beaux-Arts Nantes. I had the chance to develop a visual identity around the idea of a local laundromat. The identity is based on Van Dijk, a recognizable script typeface and easy to use for the other people who could work on the project after me. Van Dijk would easily relate to handwriting on a blackboard in a bar. As a spoof of the Skip logo, I chose Roboto Condensed. The rest of the texts are in regular-wide Roboto.

Ad for the Sony 9″ Anyplace TV set — offering mobile Netflix binge watching avant-la-lettre.

Wash n’ Watch
For wash ’n watching, the Sony plays off an AC wall plug or an optional rechargeable battery pack. And the nice thing about the set is, when you’ve had enough of soap operas and you’re ready to throw in the towel, you can always stick it in your laundry bag and take it home.

Bach n’ Roll
Now on the same radio hear the three B’s, Bach, Beethoven and The Beach Boys. You can listen to a jam session by the Budapest String Quartet, dig the Beatles or catch the Rolling Stones. […] The nice thing about it is, after you get tired of listening to longhair music, you can always turn to another wavelength and cut it short.

Ad for the 4 inch Sony television.

Pee Wee Tee Vee
Climb upon my knee, Sony boy. The 4″ Sony pee wee tee vee, otherwise known as pee wee knee tee vee. (It only weighs six pounds so you’ll never get water on the knee no matter how long you watch it.) For knee TV the pee wee Sony operates on a built-in rechargeable battery pack. Thanks to its flat-faced, non-distorting picture tube and directional master antenna, the picture will stay steady even if you’re in a rocking chair. For sitting-watching, it has an AC plug that fits in your wall outlet. And the nice thing about it is, when the Late, Late Show finally brings you to your knees, you can always take the Sony off your lap and put it to bed in your nighttable.

Packaging by Riffaud-Richard, a dry-cleaner’s in Angoulême, France, probably from the 1960s.

The text is hand-lettered, based on three different typefaces by iconic French type designer Roger Excoffon. The name is modeled after caps from Choc. “Teinture, nettoyage” (dyeing, cleaning) and the city’s name show the characteristic letterforms of Banco. Asterisks were used to separate words. The address features a manual interpretation of Mistral, with greater liberties taken for “faubourg l’Houmeau”.

Accent in use on the store front of a laundry in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. The fat brush-drawn sans originated at Filmotype and was shown in a 1955 list as a new release. It was preceded by Ark, a related narrower style. There are various digitizations of Accent. Here the letterforms were electronically condensed. For once, that’s an improvement – out of the box, Accent is a bit plump.

I can’t decide whether it’s laughable or charming that a budget dry-cleaner wants their shop front to look like it’s the work of an American sign painter from the 1950s. The bright colors and the limitation on one style in all caps definitely have some appeal.

The LED display shows Matthew Carter’s Tahoma Bold. The Cita Textilpflege logo uses more system fonts, Arial and Chicago, but I don’t list them here as they are shown too small.

Patchwork is a new lavomatic concept located in Lyon. The aim of this place is sharing moments and workshops to meet your neighbours while you do your laundry. In here, you can also exchange books or clothes, you can organise events and exhibits. Identity designed by the graphic design studio Piña with ZIGZAG and Ace.

The branding of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel in Chicago, located in an old building that used to be (surprise!) an athletic association, gave Mucca lots of historic sources to work from. One of these was an old sign that inspired them to design a custom typeface for the project, a quirky industrial grotesque in multiple widths, now released as NoExit. It's very sturdy-looking and looks good next to the more traditional and delicate curves of Harriet.
