In the heart of Lassithi mountains, Chronakis Home suggests the ideal accommodation for travelers who want to discover the beauty of the Cretan landscape and the pure tradition of the island’s villages. Built in stone and surrounded by walnut, pear and cherry trees, the house offers the cosy hospitality of Chronakis family, as well as a memorable experience for the enthusiasts of alternative tourism.

Chronakis Home’s design is based on the unique characteristics of the accommodation’s hospitality qualities; agrotourism, family hospitality, mythology, and more. The symbol – using the brand name’s initials (C/CH for Chronakis, H for home) – signifies the delicacy of home hospitality, while following the overall discreet character of the identity. The earthy colour palette, the nostalgic feeling of photography and the friendliness of voice and typography, reveal the all-embracing experience that the house, as well as the Lassithi Plateau, promise to the visitors.

The primary typeface in the identity is Munken Sans. The stamp-like seal combines another sans serif, ITC Franklin Gothic, with the script Lakeside. In the guide book, the palette is widened to include Nocturne Serif for titles.

The first issue of Airbnbmag, a collaboration between Airbnb and Hearst Publishing, was launched in Spring 2017. Art Direction by Tom O’Quinn.

While traveling with Airbnb we sometimes found personal, hand written notes from our hosts with their personal tips of what to do and see in the neighborhood. We loved the idea of getting insider information from locals and we think Airbnb should implement a system for such host suggestions — so we created Drop for Airbnb. It’s a concept app which allows hosts to easily curate and manage their tips. And the guests get a fun and easy way to explore new spots. This app would further differentiate Airbnb from their competitors and help establish the personal and sincere level we all know and love from Airbnb.

Fonts and Colors — We normally love to mix fonts but this time we have gone all the way with the Calibre. Its rational simple geometric quality was the perfect mix of legibility and personality for Drop. The colors are a mix of Airbnb's signature red and a navy blue for text elements.

Created by London-based DesignStudio, the new Airbnb logotype is set in LL Brown. The website and all other identity materials, including the mobile apps, use LL Circular.

The previous logo was a bubbly Bello.
