The artwork featuring conjoined twins on a see-saw was conceived by photographer Glen Wexler.

A rare appearance of Leonardo Hand spotted on Balance, Van Halen's last album featuring Sammy Hagar on vocals. The design itself screams a few 1990s clichés (early Photoshop abuse, Trajan for main titles) but has survived well in the band’s cannon.

The Leonardo font is based on the handwriting of Leonardo da Vinci. It brings back the work of American artist Judith Sutcliffe, who founded Electric Typographer in the mid-1980s transitioning from phototype to a full collection of digital fonts that were released by Daniel Will-Harris in the early 1990s.

To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519), The Metropolitan Museum of Art will display the artist’s painting Saint Jerome Praying in the Wilderness (begun ca. 1483). A special loan from the Vatican Museums, this monumental, exquisitely rendered painting is in an unfinished state, providing viewers with extraordinary insights into the artist’s creative process.

For the communication of this exhibition, graphic designers Mortimer Lebigre and Ann Rieger used the typeface Le Beaune designed by Damien Gautier (205TF) and Garamond Premier Pro designed by Robert Slimbach (Adobe).

This new book presents new conclusions about Leonardo da Vinci’s early life as an artist and amplifies his role in Andrea del Verrocchio’s studio. The book features three essays finely set in Thesaurus, presenting recent scientific analysis about the attributions of paintings to Leonardo. The dust jacket and the cloth binding underneath are set with Thesaurus Display Medium.

Originally released in 1970. This is the German re-release from 1978. Sleeve design by Hamish & Gustav, using a painting by Leonardo da Vinci (“Mortars With Explosive Projectiles”). The original UK gatefold release had the line in Solemnis printed in gold on a transparent polythene outer sleeve.
