Atlantic Cruise by Kustomtype sails into the spotlight on the luxurious souvenir tins by Italian chocolate brand Sorini.

Each tin is a masterpiece, showcasing iconic cities in all their glory—with Atlantic Cruise’s elegant curves and timeless charm perfectly framing the journey.

A sweet fusion of design and indulgence, this collaboration proves that great typography can make even the simplest packaging a global treasure.

The copperplate script used for “Souvenir” is Filmotype Zenith, with condensed proportions and extra slant. Small text at the bottom is set in two weights of Futura.

Commander’s Palace is a renowed Creole restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana. The place and its café, Le Petit Bleu, are using Selva Script alongside Gimlet Founders Grotesk and Self Modern on some of their products. The seriffed caps for the Commander’s Palace wordmark are from Fragment Serif.

Studio MPLS brings Roastar’s coffee tins to life with Coquette by Mark Simonson, adding a nostalgic yet vibrant touch to the packaging. Coquette’s unconnected, upright script delivers a playful, retro flair that pairs seamlessly with the bright color blocking and bold geometric patterns. Arrevederci JNL and Main Feature JNL, two quirky sans serifs by Jeff Levine, add to the retro vernacular feel of the design. The result is a packaging design that feels like a fresh take on classic pantry staples—timeless with just the right amount of charm.

The “Pay Up Instant Fines For …” tins by Boxer Gifts are made for people to help them get rid of their bad habits. The main typeface is Rat Fink Bold, an all-caps animated slab serif with inline. It’s part of the Rat Fink collection by House Industries, “based on the krazy hand lettering style of the man himself, Ed ‘Big Daddy’ Roth.” The font used for the Fines part is Gadget, originally designed by David Berlow for use in Mac OS 8.5. The “Instant Fines” part uses contoured caps from Futura Extra Bold.

Traditionally, this is celebrated with Tteokguk, a soup with thin rice cakes, and this year we can add Sundae School’s newest addition to their cannabis product line with mochi gummy flavors that will excite us Asians because it’s flavored with our flavors that reflect our diverse cultures. La Mère Poulard is a restaurant, hotel and “biscuiterie” on Mont Saint-Michel. The name “La Mère Poulard” comes from Annette Poulard, renowned for her hospitality towards the pilgrims in Le Mont-Saint-Michel and her recipes for omelettes and butter biscuits. Today it’s the butter biscuits that stand out. In their shop, La Mère Poulard sells numerous sweets and cookies, including these biscuit boxes, using Victorian and Columbus alongside the lettering.

This design additionally uses another Victorian typeface, Columbus.

To celebrate New Year’s Eve, here’s an invoice for 33 champagne buckets. Happy new year!

Just like Mammut, Werbekraft (“selling power”) is a typeface design by punchcutter Arthur Schulze. It was first cast by Ludwig & Mayer in 1926. From 16pt upward, the caps are decorated with highlights and thorns. For letters like ‘b’ or ‘k’, there are alternates with extra long ascenders, maybe inspired by Titanic. Digital interpretations include Poseidon, Neptun, and Herzog von Graf. Werbekraft here is combined with Industria (“Rechnung”), Venus, and some other Grotesk(s). The typewriter face with the squinting ‘g’ is Berthold’s Schreibmaschinenschrift 41044.
