Pedestrian is a delightful small run artist magazine that tells stories about the people, routines, and connections made as a result of moving throughout one’s everyday surroundings. In other words, it is for people who like to walk and move.

Pedestrian references the inviting neighborhood newsletters commonly seen in cities around the USA and uses ITC Souvenir Light as its only typeface. Each issue features interesting articles about city life and phenomena that should appeal to people living anywhere.

Issue 5 is bigger and better than past issues and includes contributions from Khutso Paynter, Inga Danysz, Julia Brandao, Emily Stamboulian of Purely Circumstantial, Catherine Hu, Chris Maggio, Thomas Wilson and Laura Quan.

The poster measures 500×700 mm.

Poster for The Animal Spirits: A Walk Through the Square Mile, an event planned by the Walkative Society at the Royal College of Art, London.

The display typeface is an outlined version of Tiny, using the alternate wide versions of "B" and "A", and alternate versions of "g", and "y", and "j" with longer descenders to improve legibility. Secondary information is set in 14pt Univers Light.

The poster was printed in three runs (metallic silver and black) on a FAG Swiss Proof 52 from lasercut MDF plates and metal type. Sadly the event was cancelled after the posters were printed.

Plate for the second print run. The letterforms were lasercut from thin MDF sheets and glued to an MDF base. Due to the limited size of the lasercutter the plate had to be produced in two parts, which were brought together on the press and printed at the same time.
