Loolaa is a boutique design studio in London. The main fonts used for the website are Ibarra Real Nova and Funnel Sans, with support from Ubuntu Mono for smaller bits. The logo uses the upcoming Rosewater.

Nancy Jo Iacoi is a visual director, photography editor and content strategist working from the Greater Boston area. A bespoke Wordpress theme was purpose-built for her editorial portfolio needs. The typography features Klim’s Heldane in Display and Text styles, Kai Bernau’s Lyon Display Light, and several weights of Newsam (Book, Semi Bold, Extra Bold) by Typonym.

Koodari is a multidisciplinary design and technology studio based in Brazil, specializing in the intersection of branding, UI/UX, and digital product development.

The studio utilizes Pacaembu as the cornerstone of their visual identity, leveraging its distinct geometric structure across their website and digital touchpoints. The implementation showcases the lighter weights of the family to provide a clean, high-tech feel for the primary UI and site navigation, while the Black style is used for high-impact headers within their blog.

Insel Eins is a restaurant located in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, Germany, that serves Mediterranean and European cuisine. The logo and the website are set in Margot Lévêque’s Romie Italic and Regular, paired with Geist Sans.

Colleen Kottwitz is a creative “with a Coastal California vibe, crafting thoughtful design”. She specializes in art direction, web and app design. Her website features Gaya and Neue Helvetica.

New Wave’s new website uses our Power Grotesk as their main font, supported by Space Grotesk. They describe their activity as follows:

The Guild started out by being Atlanta’s first co-living company, creating spaces for changemakers — entrepreneurs, artists, and community organizers — to live, work, gather and thrive. In addition to providing live/work spaces, their program targeted venture and personal development. ⁠

The Guild’s workshops and trainings cover everything from advanced business basics, to personal finance coaching, and even things like mindful meditation, to provide holistic support to these changemakers who work to positively impact their communities. Since then, we’ve evolved and grown, when it became clear that these changemakers were at the threat of being displaced due to gentrification. Our city is grappling with both residential and commercial gentrification, with legacy residents and businesses both at the frontline of displacement. This kind of development only serves to widen the already existing racial wealth gap. Instead, we take a community-centered approach to development. Our upcoming deals are focused on creating a pathway for community ownership.

Nya Ekonomikompetens (“New Economic Competence”) is an accounting service in Karlstad, Sweden. For their newly launched website, the company uses Dapifer as the headline font.

Darden Studio’s unbracketed “Old Style” serif offers six weights (plus italics and Stencil styles). The website at nyaek.se uses the heaviest weight of the family, Dapifer Black, supported by Alegreya Sans and Sanchez.

In some graphics, headlines in Dapifer Black are paired with text in a lighter weight from the same family.

The blurb for Down and Out in the New Economy: How People Find (or Don’t Find) Work Today starts out with a nostalgic “Finding a job used to be simple.” The opposite argument could be made with typefaces, finding a typeface used to be rather difficult. For this cover, I would argue that Tobin found a rather fitting one. Source Sans lends the compositon the familiar aura of friendly-but-corporate-please-call-me-back.

It’s not quite clear what the graphs represent, but the subtle use of FF Chartwell adds some interest to the social network links on Suer’s personal site. Too bad about the straight quotes instead of true apostrophes.
