Women in the Forest is a project by Mimosa Pale and Justyna Koeke made in the forests of Finland, as well as in the Black Forest in Germany, produced by the Real Office. For the participative performance project, the two artists made blind dates on Tinder, then met them in the forest, where together they created visual worlds of (female) pleasure, bodies, and nature.

Not easy subjects to tackle but the broad sweep of joy in this book is ever-present. My strategy was to bundle heavy subjects with human-feeling and often goofy illustration. Typographically, we allowed the book to be friendly, punchy, and brash.
