Midnight:AM is a creative agency based in NYC that “provides highly curated talent, recruitment and payment services”. The website, designed by Bruno Café and developed by Dima Kantalinsky, uses solely TWK Everett by Nolan Paparelli, with a modified A for the wordmark.

OSHI is a talent development platform that creates fertile ground for driven musicians and aspiring creative professionals through collaboration and connection. Inspired by R&B, soul, jazz, hip hop and related genres cultures, the visual identity of OSHI is based on a colorful and impactful graphic system.

The typography combines Baste from Lift Type, used for logo and titles, paired with Denim INK from Displaay Type Foundry, used for all other texts.

Real Cultures is a boutique, artist-driven music company, offering publishing, sync and artist development services. The enterprise was formed in early 2024 by Ash Milton and Dan Goudie, a.k.a. award-winning production and songwriting team Laconic. Their identity was designed by Johanna Lundberg. She picked Impact Nieuw for their logo, while all typography uses Ufficio Sans. The website is desigend and built by Frida Haggstrom.

Bureau Borsche rebranded the French music company Grand Musique (Lomepal, Kiddy Smile, Eddy de Pretto, Jabberwocky etc…). Logo, website, business card, scarf, tote bag – they designed this new identity with a strong color palette: red, black/grey, and white. The typefaces had to follow this robust color choice: the name is set with the lastest release of Marc Rouault, Exaflop Wide from the DOSS collection. Apparat, designed by Michael Clasen and Marcel Saidov, was selected for the running text.

The origin of the DOSS collection, the Exaflop family was inspired by a logo found on the side of a construction company vehicle. With its geometric structure and machine-made outlines, Exaflop defines the loose construction rules behind this bundle of fonts. Arguably the most sci-fi-esque of the DOSS collection, Exaflop feels technical on the wide side of the spectrum and playful when it gets narrower.

Grand Musique is an artist management and label service boutique agency, established in Paris in 2013. The main goal of their team is to provide services in music business, with a wide range of expertise, building a tailor-made business set up for artists, musicians and creative people.

Nouvelle idée has designed a new identity for talent agency Mercredi Studio. The website was developed by Sam Charpentier. The typefaces used are Dazzed and Greed from XYZ Displaay and Store Norske Leif from Skriftkompani.

Nouvelle idée describes the project as follows:

We’re delighted to present our latest project for our friends at Mercredi Studio. Following the announcement of the opening of their talent representation division, they needed a new visual identity and website to reflect who they are. A balanced, colorful and structured visual universe that puts forward an editorial and photographic approach to bring as much neutrality as personality. The color palette is reminiscent of their studio universe, combined with classic yet sophisticated typographic choices that create an intriguing and functional contrast with the stripe pattern, custom monogram and color blocks.

A Creative Partner is an inclusive boutique management agency based in Los Angeles, New York, and Paris. Their self-designed website was developed by TOOSOON using Waldenburg Fett Schmal and Schwer Schmal and Times New Roman.

Popular is an agency founded in 2005, from which you can book advertising models and speakers for your production. Piia Kankare, founder and owner of Popular, worked for a long time as a casting director and shooting organiser.

Popular picked Norman Stencil for its branding, website, and social media, using different weights and styles of the family.

On the website you can see how Norman Stencil has been used for the menu and for the header, mostly in black on coloured backgrounds. It is paire with Work Sans for text and smaller elements.

Talent agency VERGE cleverly combines two different typefaces by Darden Studio: Halyard Display and Jubilat. Launched this spring, VERGE is a “recruiting and human resources support firm dedicated to diversifying the perspectives, ideas, talents, and skill-sets that shape art institutions.”

VERGE’s visual identity was developed by queer and woman owned Planthouse Studio. For the logo, they started with Halyard Display SemiBold, in tightly spaced caps, and added dynamics by making the initial letter italic. On the homepage, the mission statement is presented in big type that combines Jubilat Italic and Halyard Display in matching light weights. We didn’t necessarily intend these two font families as a slab serif/sans duo, but the designers of Planthouse Studio recognized they nevertheless make for a harmonious pair, being “cut from the same cloth” and having similar proportions and spacing. Throughout the identity including the website, VERGE mixes and matches various styles of both Halyard Display and Jubilat, in weights from Light to Black, as well as in roman and italic.

Yumanity is a talent agency based in Milan. Founded by experts in the marketing and artist management sector, it is a bridge between brand’s needs and those of the talents, to build impactful campaigns together.

Starting from a strategic standpoint, we have created a strong naming, capable of clearly conveying the set of values that the brand represents. The graphic imagery created is clean, without losing modernity, thanks to the combination of 3D elements.

Allau (“avalanche” in English) is an artist management and hiring agency from Barcelona. According to creative studio Corvina i Turbot, Allau was —

born with all the strength and freshness to guide creative torrents.

The goal here was to emulate an avalanche without losing legibility and respecting the beautiful shapes of Baryton, the typeface chosen to defend the brand.

The A, that structurally can recall a mountain, is also used as a monogram to reinforce the concept.

Artworld is a talent agency based in both New York and London. They promote the work of a dozen photographers and directors, with a focus on matching the client’s needs and the artistic development of their artists.

For the portfolio of the agency, Artworld collaborated with Mouthwash Studio. The usual problem with this kind of website is to show the specificity of the work of each photographer while having a global identity distinctive enough for the agency to be remembered. Mouthwash Studio designed a website where the user's first approach is through the names of the artists, but the reading is very soon followed by an impactful photo of the photographer's work, made visible through a hover. The image appears on a colored semi-transparent background, that helps identify the style of each artist and create a specific atmosphere that differentiates them from one another.

The names of the artists and the descriptive texts are set in Cardinal Fruit and Cardinal Classic Long from Production Type, while the logotype and all technical info are set in Graphik from Commercial Type. The classical association of a geometric sans with a serif is pushed to extremes on the front page with the confrontation of Cardinal Fruit with Graphik Super; the condensed elasticity of Cardinal Fruit finding its counterpoint in the massive logotype at the bottom of the page.

Promotional poster for Roughmen, a creative talent agency in Amsterdam. The illustrations are by local artist Emanuel Wiemans, depicting a range of professionals from the field of graphic arts in (inter)action.

The names of the various roles are shown as boxed labels below the images. They are set in Ed Roman, with the words broken up into syllables. This look – a combination of irregular, didactic spacing and red seriffed letters – is probably a reference to the leesplankje van Hoogeveen. Introduced in 1896, this board with images and corresponding words was used over several decades for teaching Dutch children how to read. Ed Roman was designed by Ken Barber together with Ed Benguiat. House Industries issued the animated roman in 2004 as part of the Ed Benguiat Font Collection.

The slogan “Professionals van nu met het vakmanschap van toen” (“Professionals from today with the craftsmanship of the past”) uses Krul. This script typeface by Ramiro Espinoza is based on the iconic curly lettering found on the windows of many of Amsterdam’s traditional brown bars. Krul was released by ReType in 2012.

The poster was printed in a limited edition of 400 pieces.

“M.A.P are a creative management agency, representing the top tier of fashion photographers and styling talent worldwide. Commissioned by founder Julie Brown, YES proposed a complete overhaul of visual communication both digitally and in print. We developed a typographic identity based around a strong graphic contrasts — between the bold company letterforms and the more delicate supporting typography.” — YES

I like the typographic approach here: antique type constrasting with distinctly modern content. Though they may get better results from the screen-optimized Sweet Sans or Trio Grotesk (replacing the limited Engravers Gothic) and Harriet (for ITC New Baskerville).

Pavleye is an artist management and photo production agency in Prague. The logo uses Kalligraphia and ITC Avant Garde (with alts). While the fonts contrast visually, they are historically in sync, as both were popular 1970s releases.

The website was masterfully designed by Kid Flint, with one critical flaw: it’s all in Flash. Hopefully they can maintain the excellent layout when they graduate to HTML.
