ESIETE’s solution gives authentic meaning to “We are your voice”: a confessional statement for community-powered media.

Transition Radio is a contemporary, non-profit cultural project, operating from Fribourg, Switzerland. It is:

a space for creation, encounters, experimentation and reflection. It aims to promote the local and Swiss cultural scene, while keeping an open window to the international scene.

How it works: transition radio operates on a residency model, offering artists and creators the time and space they need to develop their projects. Residencies run for an entire season and can be individual or collaborative, covering all genres and mediums, from music and theater to poetry and sound art. The next call for residencies for the 2026-2027 season will be published on instagram in autumn 2025.

The new identity and website of the radio uses two vastly different typefaces together. The main one on the site, used in an animated, adaptive variable format is Animo, designed by Jan Horčík and Arnaud Chemin (released by Heavyweight in 2025).

The other one is Theran by Laura Csocsán (released by Outline Online in 2025), used for genre tags and for the moving sticky header, which shows what is currently playing as well as the date of past shows.

The Wait Wait Stats Project provides information about the news radio panel show Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! on NPR. It consists of the Stats Page, Graphs Site and Reports Site, use IBM Plex Sans due to the clean, legible, and data-focused needs for the sites. IBM Plex Sans has unambiguous characters (such as the number 1, a lowercase l, and an uppercase I) which is important for a site that has higher information density conveyed via text.

Both “NPR NEWS” and “88.7 FM” are set in a slightly horizontally-stretched Pritchard, designed in 1990 by Martin Wait for Letraset. “& jAzZ” is set in Remedy Double, designed in 1991 by Frank Heine for Emigre; the A used is a stylistic alternate. The WBFO logotype is set in tightly-spaced Bernhard Modern Bold, designed in 1937 by Lucian Bernhard for ATF; the crossbar of F is truncated to better accommodate O.

“We Support Public Radio” is set in ITC Souvenir Bold, designed by Ed Benguiat in 1970 for ITC, with a swash alternate used for the S. “FM 88” is set in Thorowgood Sans Shaded, designed in 1839 for Fann Street. “BUFFALO” is set in Gill Sans Medium, designed by Eric Gill in 1928.

New version of Culture Papiers, the three-monthly magazine from France Culture, French national radio, designed by Building Paris, using the David font family from the A is for … type foundry together with Lyon from Commercial Type.

“Serial is a podcast where we unfold one nonfiction story, week by week, over the course of a season. We'll stay with each story for as long as it takes to get to the bottom of it.”

North-German public radio and TV-station RBB Radio Brandenburg Berlin relaunched their fully responsive website almost solely using Interstate. The regular weight is used for all body copy and it is holding up surprisingly well in small sizes, Interstate Light for headlines, and Bold for deck and navigation supported by marginalia in Georgia Italic.
