ITC Serif Gothic with the tight spacing that’s so typical for the 1980s and various alternate glyphs including the angled e, the descending f, and the uncial E. The descending t is customized.

The Different Drum: Community Making and Peace (Touchstone, 1987) is a book by psychiatrist Morgan Scott Peck (1936–2005) who is best known for The Road Less Traveled from 1978.

The Forest People is an ethnographic study of the Mbuti pygmies in the African Congo region, authored by the British-American anthropologist Colin M. Turnbull (1924–1994). First published by Simon and Schuster in 1961, this is the paperback edition, issued in 1962 in their Touchstone imprint. The cover was designed by John and Mary Condon, using tightly spaced Akzidenz-Grotesk against a posterized photograph printed in green and black.
