Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is a 1984 American action-adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg. It is the second installment in the Indiana Jones franchise, and a prequel to the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark, featuring Harrison Ford who reprises his role as the title character. Kate Capshaw, Amrish Puri, Roshan Seth, Philip Stone and Ke Huy Quan, in his film debut, star in supporting roles.

The British one sheet poster features a tagline and the second half of the film's title set in Wexford. The British quad and one-third posters feature a giant tagline, "The Hero is Back," set in the Extrabold weight of Largo. Pull quotes and additional text are set in ITC Newtext. The credit blocks are set in News Gothic Condensed. The British quad poster promoting the "Royal European Première" features text set in Continental and Helvetica.

The film's title sequence features credits set in a faux italic Bauer Topic (see Steile Futura). The Club Obi Wan signage is based on Zig Zag, an art deco alphabet design by Marcia Loeb that is shown in New Art Deco Alphabets (Dover, New York, 1975). The end credits are set in Eurostile. Titles are by Modern Film Effects.

The Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom logo is hand-lettered, likely by Mike Salisbury, who also designed the logo for Raiders of the Lost Ark. Furthermore, the look of the original Raiders logo was likely inspired by the very similar cover lettering (see comments here) seen on 1940s issues of the American science fiction magazine Amazing Stories. Raiders of the Lost Ark is a 1981 American action-adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Lawrence Kasdan, based on a story by George Lucas and Philip Kaufman. Set in 1936, the film stars Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, a globetrotting archaeologist vying with Nazi German forces to recover the long-lost Ark of the Covenant which is said to make an army invincible. Teaming up with his tough former romantic interest Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen), Jones races to stop rival archaeologist Dr. René Belloq (Paul Freeman) from guiding the Nazis to the Ark and its power.

The opening credits pair Open Kapitalen with Eurostile. Eurostile Extended is used for "of the Lost Ark" and "South America, 1936," whereas other credits use the Regular, optically stetched to around 150% its original width to give the impression of the Extended. The map, seen during location transitions, features Legende (with alternates) and ITC Serif Gothic, with both set in all caps. The end credits are set in Friz Quadrata.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a 1989 action-adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg, and starring Harrison Ford.

The opening credits of the film are set in Open Kapitalen and Microgramma [or the largely identical caps of Eurostile Extended, see comments]. The footage was shot in the Arches National Park in Utah and features the Courthouse Towers and the Three Gossips.

The first film in the series, 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark, also has opening credits set in Open Kapitalen.

The typographic star is Ray Larabie’s Coolvetica, with hyper-extended glyphs. First released in 1999, Coolvetica is “based on an American chain store logo circa 1970 […] an era where everyone was modifying Helvetica.” (Typodermic) The most striking differences between Larabie’s funky display burlesque and the original Helvetica are found in j q t y Q. It’s paired with a digital version of Hellenic Wide, possibly Hefty (FontBank, Inc., 1993).

Ready Player One is a 2018 American science fiction adventure film produced and directed by Steven Spielberg, and written by Zak Penn and Ernest Cline, based on Cline’s 2011 novel of the same name. The film stars Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn, Lena Waithe, T.J. Miller, Simon Pegg, and Mark Rylance.

The main title for the miniseries Band of Brothers was designed by Michael Riley of shine and was nominated for Outstanding Main Title Design at the Emmys 2002. The fonts in use are Vendetta by John Downer and FF Scala Sans by Martin Majoor.
