<p>This issue was published for <em>Johannistag</em> (St. John’s Day) 1932. Topics covered included the limits of quality in machine typesetting compared to manual typesetting, the Intertype double-decker model F, and the advantages of the Typograph typesetting machine “Universal B”. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/kirsten_solveig_schneider/14232995784/">See the original post on Flickr</a> for a full list of contents (in German).</p>

<p>Like <a target="_self" class="entity-link" href="https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/32713/werbeschrift-mammut" data-entity-code-id="32713" data-entity-code-type="TypeEntity">Mammut</a> (1928) and <a target="_self" class="entity-link" href="https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/102272/signal-production-type" data-entity-code-id="102272" data-entity-code-type="TypeEntity">Signal (Production Type)</a> (1930), <strong><a target="_self" class="entity-link" href="https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/31764/energos" data-entity-code-id="31764" data-entity-code-type="TypeEntity">Energos</a></strong> is one of the many low-contrast script typefaces that popped up around the time. Designed by <a target="_self" class="entity-link" href="https://fontsinuse.com/type_designers/750/arno-drescher" data-entity-code-id="750" data-entity-code-type="TypeDesigner">Arno Drescher</a>, it was released just before the issue came out. In this case, two fairly new <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Koch">Rudolf Koch</a> faces were used. (<a href="https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/7413/prisma"><strong>Prisma</strong></a> was released just the year before, in 1931.)
