Hany’s Harvest’s packaging and visual identity features three typefaces from Faire Type. Print is used for big headlines, Print Text for subheads, and Sprig Sans for all the body copy.

Inspired by founder Hany’s own wellness journey and grounded in time-honored herbal traditions, Hany’s Harvest was born from a passion for helping others feel their most vital, naturally. Their mission is to empower you to thrive by harnessing the transformative power of functional superfoods – carefully crafted into easy-to-take wellness tonics that make daily self-care both simple and delicious.

Selfcare is a health-and-wellness brand founded by celebrity nutritionist Suman Agarwal, created to empower individuals with personalised knowledge and guidance for healthy food choices.

This project pairs Domaine Display and Quicksand for the Selfcare supplement range. Domaine Display is used for product names and key messaging, adding refinement and credibility while Quicksand supports with clear, approachable typography for dosage and nutritional information. The combination balances authority with warmth, helping the packaging feel trustworthy without becoming overly clinical.

Trilogy was founded by two sisters from New Zealand who discovered the amazing skin loving benefits of rosehip oil, and took it to the world. Besides the signature rosehip oil, the brand now features a wide range of skincare products that all follow the same conscious approach, to minimize the impact on earth. Trilogy is Toitū carbon neutral certified, NATRUE and BioGro certified natural and organic. They do not test on animals and use PEFC certified cartons and recyclable or PCR materials wherever possible.

The logotype uses Grand Slang (Nikolas Type). In 2022, Trilogy commissioned Nikolas Type to create a custom version of Grand Slang’s lowercase g which is in use since then.

The branding is completed by Attila Sans (Kometa) Ogg Text (Sharp Type) and National 2 Compressed (Klim Type Foundry).

Omnes is one of the brand typefaces for Oatsome. The German food startup offers smoothie bowls, crunchy toppings, nut spreads and other products for a healthy diet, all with 100% natural ingredients and no additives or added sugar.

Darden Studio’s selectively rounded sans is available in four widths: Narrow, Condensed, Semicondensed, and Standard. The Oatsome designers work with several of them, in various styles including the italic. Omnes Condensed and Narrow are being used for the product descriptions. These space-saving fonts also come in handy for placing all relevant consumer info like nutrition facts on the packaging designs.

Omnes is combined with Stick-A-Round by PintassilgoPrints. The unicase sans is used with some of its playful ligatures and nested letter pairs for the product names. The Oatsome logo features Shinntype’s Aptly in lowercase letters.

When Darden Studio introduced Omnes Widths, we designed promotional graphics with condiment packs. These demonstrated how dry information like lists of ingredients can still be presented in ways that are readable and appealing alike. We’re thrilled to see such an application in the wild!

Description of the project by Moving:

Founded in 2021, Hay Organics is a sustainably led wellness brand focused on cultivating moments of calm through whole plant healing. As a direct-to-consumer business, the brand prioritises high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients for a devoted following who subscribe to nature’s prescription. Feeling they had outgrown their old identity, MOVING were approached to lift their brand packaging into the premium space.

Working closely to review each touchpoint, we helped craft a new brand name to strengthen their market appeal, alongside a refreshed brand identity, product packaging and online presence. We crafted a brand language built around harmony and tranquillity, rephrasing their offering as ‘Remedies Rooted in Nature’, balanced by a calm visual aesthetic. The brand logotype is accompanied by an elegant mark, used sparingly and applied to sustainably sourced FSC paper stocks as a blind emboss. The packaging uses all eco-friendly inks and recycled materials, an approach that ensures the brand’s commitment and respect for our planet.

Luxe Naturals is a skincare brand that offers natural, plant-based products designed to nourish and enhance your skin. They focus on using clean, eco-friendly ingredients that are free from harsh chemicals and synthetic additives. Luxe Naturals aims to provide effective, gentle skincare solutions that promote healthy, glowing skin while being mindful of the environment.

The packaging uses Westiga as the primary typeface, with the logo also designed in Westiga by Pixesia Studio.

Bringing together an East Asian drink with Western European Renaissance writing might appear audacious. But in fact it turns out to be an intercultural love match where “craftsmanship” is the core value.

Breathing Tea is a small business based in Hong Kong that fully focusses on producing all sorts of Kombucha tea. As of fall 2024 the firm is represented in six places across Hong Kong and offers an online shop. Name and website of the brand make it clear that the purpose of the enterprise is to offer mindfully handcrafted brews, following the centuries-old tradition.

And it is here where you can see how well the chosen typeface fits in: Francesco was designed by Franck Jalleau on the basis of early Italian Renaissance printing, especially from the presses of Aldus Manutius. The typeface’s name pays tribute to Francesco Griffo who was the punchcutter of Manutius and is seen as one of the central figures in transforming Humanist calligraphy into typography.

Instead of copy-pasting recurring elements of type design, like for instance the serifs, Franck Jalleau strived to emulate the spirit of early punchcutting craftsmanship and to individually balance each letter in its own right, leading to more variation in those details.

Yet Francesco is not a mere revival, but a contemporary take on the Renaissance topic. Most noticeable are certainly the filled black counters of a and e, a characteristic that makes the typeface recognizable and therefore suitable for identity projects. Francesco comes with a variety of stylistic alternates and also provides full Greek and Cyrillic character sets. It was published by Production Type in 2017.

That same year appeared the geometric Halcyon by Jonathan Gibson, the complementary face used on the website of Breathing Tea.

Francesco is used with ample letterspacing. In the logotype, the letter i is represented by the dot only. The compact logo version combines a single letter B (modified to have one open counter) with that floating dot.

Social media typography doesn’t have to be loud or sloppy: a customer testimonial is carefully set using Francesco in roman, italic and small caps, with a discretionary st ligature and hanging punctuation

Voodoo Voodoo created a 360° visual identity for the new skincare brand KLEOS+KLEA, including brand and product naming, as well as a distinctive packaging system, product design, and art direction.

Working alongside founder Tammy Demos, we identified a unique creative opportunity for KLEOS+KLEA, reflecting Tammy’s commitment to natural ingredients and transparency.

As environmental consciousness becomes central to modern luxury, KLEOS+KLEA pioneers a new approach to skincare, integrating natural ingredients into meticulously curated formulas.

For the brand, we established a design language inspired by nature’s vibrancy, fluidity, and precision, enriched with storytelling elements.

We chose Signifier and GT America to bring the visual identity to life.

Signifier, designed by Kris Sowersby of Klim Type Foundry, is inspired by classic serif forms but introduces a modern edge with its precisely sculpted letterforms. It is both elegant and highly legible, making it ideal for storytelling and long-form copy, while its lighter weights add sophistication to large titles.

GT America, designed by Noël Leu and published by Grilli Type, offers remarkable versatility with its range of widths, creating a sense of rhythm that emphasises growth and movement—perfectly reflecting the gradual transitions of the seasons, which underpin the essence of KLEOS+KLEA’s natural products. Its bold style is ideal for strong, attention-grabbing statements.

Together, these typefaces complement each other not only through their contrasting weights but also by reinforcing the key dichotomies at the heart of the brand: poetry vs science, masculine vs feminine, day vs night.

Our logo strikes a balance between boldness and delicacy, with condensed and expanded characters suggesting growth and movement. Our creative direction captures this duality, blending nature’s vibrant energy with a sense of focused purity.

These potent formulas are activated with the Thallo bowl, also designed by Voodoo Voodoo studio. This custom ceramic piece features a gently textured surface and refined silhouette. Designed to fit in the palm of the hand, it guides the fingers and enhances the sensory experience. Each bowl is slightly unique, reflecting a handmade process.

With marine-derived ingredients like giant sea kelp, Apotheanic sought to create an identity and packaging system that celebrates nature. The brand’s signature golden yellow, inspired by the way seaweed changes colour when held up to sunlight, is a subtle nod to the transformative nature of their products.

Creating a fully recyclable packaging system that supports small batch production to minimise waste was essential. By partnering with UK-based production companies, we ensured the brand was able to further reduce its overall carbon footprint.

Albra Book is used on the packaging of Little Larch. It’s paired with Mori. The logo is based on Räder.

Little Larch is changing the game when it comes to sensory play for kids, with innovative products that are good for little hands, and better for the planet. Working closely with the brand’s founder, we developed a new visual and verbal identity to match the company’s goals and ambition: to expand outside of Canada and become a household name in the industry. Tara and Lauren took the time to truly understand and connect with my brand story and mission. Apothecary 87 was rebranded for a premium packaging experience. 93ft worked with the natural skincare and grooming brand to elevate their existing range of products using impactful packaging design, typography and a new brand identity.

They selected two complimentary fonts which can be used across the brand. With a nod to a ‘vintage’ British aesthetic, F37 Beckett was chosen as the all-caps display font. The complimentary type for smaller sizes appears to be Trade Gothic Extended. The logo in Birch – with a custom moustached O – was carried over from the previous 1920s prohibition Peaky Blinders-style aesthetic.

Talgh redefines luxury and unisex self-care through a seamless blend of nature and innovation. Inspired by the historical use of beef tallow and modern skincare science, the brand honors the past while embracing the future.

Beginning with a commitment to hormone-safety that transcends mere product use. This philosophy guided the creation of products that are not only effective but also gentle and safe for all skin types.

Their formulas are meticulously formulated using certified organic and mineral-based materials, providing effective protection without compromising quality. The digital presence mirrors its ethos—intuitive, cohesive, and immersive. The site features a modular yet soft user-centric design language with minimal yet nuanced animations, interactions, and imagery.

Typography and design play pivotal roles in conveying the brand’s elegance. By blending mid-century influences with contemporary aesthetics, every detail of Talgh speaks to sophistication and care. The brand typography utilizes EK Roumald by Erkin Karamemet and ABC Favorit by Dinamo.

Talgh is more than a brand; it’s a testament to the harmony of tradition and modernity. The essence of nature, the elegance of luxury.

Launderful is a cleaning products company that offers a highly effective, non-toxic, biodegradable, powder "laundry stripper" that deep-cleans and sustains soft goods better (and more Earth-friendly) than most commercial detergents.

The logotype used Tomato Grotesk Bold with an L that was customised by the designers, Outfit. Tomato Grotesk is used throughout the rest of the branding in various weights from Black to Light.

Logo and packaging design for Plantheque, a cosmetic brand that wants to preserve nature’s resources and mainly uses recycled and fully recyclable materials. The packaging is designed by BAS ID and Helena Bielke, a with minimalistic and delicate typographic approach. The logotype and graphic system are based on Amagro. It is paired with text in a yet unidentified monospaced sans.

HumTree is a small batch fair trade brand with products sourced from Sundarbans, India. Out to prove that affordable does not have to mean low-quality, the brand has two aims: offering high-quality at accessible prices and giving back to the local forest workers by generating employment opportunities.

Studio Ping Pong worked with HumTree to create the brand name, brand identity, and packaging for their honey, helping to bring their story to life. HumTree works with indigenous communities of Sundarbans using forest-friendly practices. This sense of harmony and community was highlighted in the naming and branding. Hum, from the Hindi word for ‘us’ and the sound of bees, and Tree, reflecting its commitment to natural practices.

The visual design was made using linocut-style hand-drawn motifs and illustrations inspired by imagery from nature. Evoking the harmony of flora and fauna that the brand stood for and highlighting the handcrafted nature of its products.

With families and children as one of their identified customers, use cases were added to the packaging itself bringing out the unique benefits of each of the variants.

The logo was created using custom lettering, borrowing from vernacular alphabets (M) of the region. A modified Pally was used for titles and subtitles to stand out in shelves, while Basic Sans was used for body text. Good Dog New and Chantal was used within the packaging to complement the hand-drawn style illustrations.

The colour palette was kept to earthy greens and browns, evoking the forests where the products were made. The honey packaging relied on heavy use of deep brown-the colour of the honey, along with flavour based tones of magenta, green and gold.

Seaforest is a supplements company based in Malaysia offering products that are 100% natural, plant-based, and free from synthetic chemicals or fillers.

We created an aesthetic website through a clean editorial design. Louize Regular (205TF) – used for quotes and titles – has a finesse which helps to lend the brand a rich hierarchy. It’s accompanied by Sofia Pro (Mostardesign) for body texts and subtitles. The well-balanced mix of these typefaces give the brand personality and reliability, as well as strong storytelling qualities.

Seaforest’s website focuses the attention on the categorization and display of the products, so that the experience can feel smooth and gentle – as shopping should be in any store.

Namaskar Ayurved is a cosmetics brand based in Mumbai, committed to creating products sourced from clean, natural, chemical-free ingredients.

The brand identity was designed by 327 creative studio in Porto, Portugal, who describe the project as follows:

The brand identity […] had as its primary purpose the perfect blend between small elements of Indian roots and a minimal aesthetic, characteristic of international brands, showing a contemporary and modern look and feel. Matured at its core, the typographically driven identity system takes advantage of a powerful combination of typefaces, exploring its visual presentation through the depiction of shapes and text breaks. The colour palette is made of warm hues, reminiscent of Indian spices (Haldi, saffron and red chilli powder) and lilac – a fresh and contemporary tone – creating a perfect balance on the brand identity. Each jar was carefully chosen, with frosted coloured glass with screen print. In order to add a distinct look to the range of products, the black matte squared bottles were custom designed by us, enfolded by a coloured label highlighting the brand colours. As part of a global identity project, we also took on the production, art direction and creative photography of the Namaskar products, where all the scenarios were thought out in detail, according to the brand identity.

Voyage (VJ-Type) is combined with Galano Grotesque (René Bieder) and Basis Grotesque (Colophon).

The website was implemented by Rising Webvibe Solutions in Pune, India.

Dapifer is the new brand typeface of Christophe Robin.

Christophe Robin is a brand of haircare and skincare products made from natural ingredients. First launched in 1999, it was time for an overhaul of the visual identity. The new logo features Dapifer by Darden Studio. The name is set in capitals from the Light weight, with loose letterspacing so that it exceeds the boundaries of the framing box.

Dapifer is also used for all other aspects of the brand, including the packaging designs and the various websites. There and in video commercials, the humanist slab serif also appears in mixed case with lowercase letters, from both its roman and italic styles. It’s supported by the sans-serif Gotham and Gotham Rounded.

The lids of the jars are marked with debossed initials from Dapifer Light.

The terrace restaurant A-Frame offers classic picnic dishes for lunch or as an evening snack.

In the 300-strong community of Rocheport on the banks of the Missouri lies the Les Bourgeois Winery. It is the third largest winery in Missouri, USA and was one of the first clients of the Hoot Design Company, which is located in neighbouring Columbia.

The winery has a distillery, bistro, restaurant and accommodation, which were all brought together under the new umbrella brand The Blufftop at Rocheport with the help of Hoot in early 2022.

Some of the brands were already established, while others were new with the relaunch. “To ensure that The Blufftop at Rocheport and its nine sub-brands are cohesive, we created ten visual identities that work seamlessly together. With a broad color palette inspired by Missouri’s natural landscape, custom illustrations and a variety of different type families, we developed a visual system that is both distinctive and consistent,” said the founder of Hoot, Kristen Brown. One of the type families that they used is Fontwerk’s West, which Brown considered to be “the perfect complement to our sweeping wordmarks” and according to her, “formed the basis on which we could unite the nine brands under one roof.”

The emotional backbone of the Blufftop brand is formed by the calligraphic Esmeralda from Sudtipos and the graceful serif Sometimes Times from BoulevardLAB; the modernist Alternate forms of Korolev from Device is used as the headline typeface, and Victoria Rushton’s Gautreaux serves for the occasional article or preposition. Together, the font quintet defines a heterogeneous brand family that is both easily accessible and appealing.

Gottstein Architects is a Dublin-based studio interested in creating architecture that's sustainable and socially responsible. We were commissioned to redesign their brand identity.

The original wordmark was set in FF DIN, right-aligned; it used two different type sizes. The client was keen to keep the same typeface to retain a measure of brand recognition, so we simplified the mark by setting the type flush right, in one size and with tightened spacing.

We recently put together a welcome pack for Gottstein’s new clients. This included an A4 report cover, business cards, tote bags and metre stick, all with the new wordmark applied. The recycled stock and natural materials reflect the studio’s use of low-carbon materials and their ambition to minimise waste.
