The calligraphic serifless roman is York. Released in 1966 as one of 15 award winning type face designs in the National Type Face Design Competition sponsored by Visual Graphics Corporation, York was the first published typeface design by Georg Salden (b. 1930).

The v and y (as well as w) betray Salden’s rootedness in the German lettering tradition, cf. the construction of these letters in Fraktur. York isn’t often used in all caps, but when it is as in the author’s name, it looks a lot like a quickly written Optima (Hermann Zapf, 1958).

Halyard Text is the brand typeface of Seer Medical. The Australian company creates technology for the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions, with a special focus on epilepsy. Among their products are wearable devices, a cloud platform, and machine learning systems.

In-house designer Jessica Sneddon led a brand refresh and developed a new visual language, introducing Darden Studio’s Halyard Text as the new typographic backbone. Used in several of its eight weights, Halyard Text lends its qualities as highly readable text sans to all aspects of the brand, be it on the website, in the mobile app, for infographics or packaging. Interestingly, Seer Medical employs Halyard Text for both text and display purposes. By keeping everything in one subfamily, they opted for a look that’s deliberately more open and spacious than with Halyard Display, the sister family optimized for large sizes.

Epilessia? Diamoci un tagglio! (in English: Epilepsy? Cut it out!) is a info campaign and a fundraiser launched to support the Epilepsy Surgery Center “Claudio Munari” based in Milan, Italy. It has the official support of the Munari Center at Niguarda Hospital.

Divenire has been used for the logotype, Zenon for text. Both typefaces were released in recent years by CAST Cooperativa Anonima Servizi Tipografici. Since these typefaces are not yet available as web fonts, Lekton has been used for the corresponding website. There's a trait d’union among all these typefaces: Luciano Perondi, designer of Divenire and founder of CAST, is also a member of the team at ISIA Urbino that designed Lekton.
