France Télévisions is the French national public TV broadcaster. It was formed in 1992 as a merger of Antenne 2 and FR3, with France 5 becoming a part of the group a few years later in 2000. In 2002, after a decade in existence, it underwent a major rebrand, using Heldustry across all its TV channels. This usage of the font would last until 2018, when it underwent its third major rebrand, changing to a modified version of LL Brown.

Advertising campaign for Peruvian TV company and network Panamericana Televisión. This campaign highlighted the then new programming for the second half of that year. The wordmark is set in Astra, the body text in Univers, and the headline text in Beton.

The 1996 Fox Kids logo incorporates the main Fox network logo and resembles the 20th Century Fox logo.

The 1997 logo debuted during the network’s “Weird Week” promotion in February 1997. The logo change would become permanent by spring 1997 with the slogan “Rocks Kids”. This logo would end its cycle with the slogan “Take the Ride” and would be replaced by the following logo in the summer.

The word “Network” was dropped in the spring of 1998. On August 14, 1999, the Japanese anime Digimon Adventure (retitled Digimon: Digital Monsters) premiered on Fox Kids. On October 23, 1999, another monster tamed anime series called Monster Rancher premiered on Fox Kids. [Logopedia]

The word “Kids” in all of these logos is set in the famous Comicraft font Zoinks, while the word “network” in the 1997 logo is set in Ad Lib.

The logo is set in Onlysans by Daria Cohen distributed via Contemporary Type; the texts are set in Familjen Grotesk by Familjen STHLM AB for English and Pretendard Variable by Kil Hyung-jin for Korean.

Darden Studio’s Omnes Black is the titling font for Nick Jr.

Nick Jr. is Nickelodeon’s preschool programming block and also the name of a dedicated pay TV channel. It’s best known for shows like PAW Patrol, Dora, Peppa Pig, Dinosaurs in Space, Blaze & The Monster Machines, and Baby Shark’s Big Show.

On the Nick Jr. website, kids can watch full episodes and videos, play games, and interact with their favorite characters. Omnes Black – the boldest weight of the family – is here used for headlines, alongside text in Neue Plak.

The heavyweight with the selectively rounded corners also features on title cards in the video clips themselves, as well as for the names of the Wheel of Games podcast and the Party Adventure video game, among other formats.

Omnes is typically used in all caps, with smaller text in several weights from Neue Plak.

The logo of Discovery Family combines Gotham with Pluto Italic. Both typefaces underwent some modifications, see the omitted i dot and the ry pair in “Discovery”, and the shiny effect for “Family”.

In October 2024, KRON-TV introduced its Circa rebrand, a visual update designed by jonberrydesign to reflect the Bay Area’s identity with a clean, modern visual system. The new look uses circular forms and a color palette drawn from the local environment, creating a system that feels contemporary while still nodding to KRON’s past.

The primary typeface, Inter, was chosen for its clarity, flexibility, and legibility across screen sizes and weights – well suited to the rebrand’s minimal, geometric approach. Roboto Condensed appears in the news ticker to clearly separate it from the other on-screen graphics. Meanwhile, Corporate S remains in the station’s logo, maintaining a visual link to KRON’s legacy.

The Weather Channel is a pay television channel located in Atlanta, Georgia. Launched on May 2, 1982, its logo uses FF Meta since 2005.

WMAQ-TV (channel 5) is a television station in Chicago, Illinois, serving as the market’s NBC outlet. According to Logopedia, the current logo was introduced in January 2012, ahead of Super Bowl XLVI. The on-air identity for WMAQ-TV was famous for 13 years, with on air graphics, promotional elements and more. It uses Neue Helvetica for the 5, “Chicago” and “News”.

After 20 years, the elusive vanity card of T.A.T. Communications Company has been found in full. The multiline letters for “TAT” are most likely custom, although they maybe took inspiration from typefaces like Yagi Double or Stripes. The other text is set in Futura with faux small caps. Shortly after, there is also a CBS logo set in ITC Grizzly.

T.A.T. Communications Company was an American television production company started in 1974. It was renamed as Embassy Communications, Inc. in 1982 and later went by the name ELP Communications.

WTVF (channel 5) is a television station in Nashville, Tennessee. According to Logopedia, the current logo was introduced in 1997. It uses Plantin with vertically stretched lowercase characters (or News Plantin with a widened C?) for “News”, with the e borrowed from Plantin. The tagline is in Bank Gothic. The bold italic 5 was introduced already in 1989. It appears to be a beefed up Times New Roman.

UKTV is a British multi-channel broadcaster, which, since 2019, has been wholly owned by BBC Studios. In July 2024, UKTV launched its new masterbrand U, which sees its free streaming service transition to U and its free-to-air channels become U&Dave, U&Drama, U&W and U&Yesterday.

UKTV’s Creative team worked in partnership with global brand consultancy Wolff Olins on the design system for the new U visual identity, leading to the creation of over 19,500 assets. The decision was made early on to move away from UKTV Play’s teal logo colour.

Peter Allinson, UKTV’s Head of Design said, “It’s always smart to check how well certain brand elements are performing and what value they bring. We found that the UKTV Play teal colour placed our streaming service among many competitors, while coral was a unique choice not used by other VOD brands. The new colour brings warmth and personality to U, making it the perfect fit for us."

"However, it was important for our free-to-air channels to keep their familiar qualities and beloved personalities. So, we distilled each channel’s identity to a core brand colour that felt familiar and was easy to incorporate into our design system. We also wanted a font that suited our diverse portfolio. We chose the ‘Right’ font family for its diverse range, from Grotesk to Serif to Slab variations, providing variety while maintaining a consistent look across our network of brands.”

The rationale behind the new branding is linked to UKTV’s ambitious growth strategy, which is focussed on supercharging streaming. A key driver of this is connecting and better leveraging the brands within UKTV’s estate. The launch of this new Masterbrand supports this strategy by making it easier for users to navigate both online and on-air. The simplicity of the new U brand architecture also retains the names and equity of the existing channel brands that are well-known and loved across the UK.

Over the years, Brazilian pay television channel GNT has delved into the women's universe. From the Behance page:

Globo uses Mori together with Romie in this rebranding effort for GNT.

Channel A, a private television broadcaster and content provider in South Korea, launched in 2011 with the slogan “A Canvas that holds Your Dreams.” Over the past decade, it has nurtured numerous successful IPs, embodying values of quality, fairness, and trust. In the face of challenges such as increased competition from OTT platforms, declining TV ratings, and a weakened brand presence in the rapidly evolving media landscape, Channel A recognized the need for transformation. During this transition, it became clear that the existing brand identity, “A Canvas that holds Your Dreams,” did not effectively communicate its meaning to both viewers and team members.

Thus, Channel A decided that a rebranding strategy was necessary, one that would reflect modern perspectives on technological innovation and media consumption while presenting a new vision for the brand internally and externally. This project aimed to redefine its brand identity to better resonate with both viewers and internal members, reinforcing the brand's presence and ensuring the quality of the content provided.

The logotype and the slogan “Play the Next” are custom drawn. The main brand typeface used for English text is GT America Condensed. It’s supported by Pretendard for Korean.

Los Angeles-based Capacity worked with US TV network NBC on a branding system revamp which launched September 2009.

RPTV is a free-to-air television channel owned and operated by TV5 Network, Inc. and Radio Philippines Network. It serves as the replacement for the now-defunct CNN Philippines, which shut down on 31 January 2024. RPTV is home to simulcasts of programs such as Eat… Bulaga!, Ted Failon and DJ Chacha, Wanted sa Radyo, and games of the Philippine Basketball Association.
