The theatrical release poster uses Template Gothic in all caps. Credits are set in the usual space-saving Filmotype Galaxy, copied by VGC as B-1 and available digitally from URW as Bee One.

The Age of Innocence is a historical romantic drama film directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Winona Ryder and Miriam Margolyes.

The titles were designed by Elaine and Saul Bass. They are set in tightly spaced italics from Bauer Bodoni. The calligraphy in the background appears to be from George Bickham, or at least it’s similar in style, compare the digital Bickham Script which is based on his work. This year’s Fall Fashion issue of New York magazine makes great use of Atlantic Light, a preliminary cut that is part of an upcoming typeface family designed by Jan Horčik, to be released with Heavyweight.
