IDLIBRA is a DJ from the northeast of Brazil who blends traditional rhythms like coco, afoxé, and maracatu with modern electronic beats, drawing heavily from the diverse culture of Olinda and Recife, where she grew up. She's made a name for herself playing at some of the biggest underground electronic parties in Brazil, including Mamba Negra and other key events in the country’s vibrant electronic scene.

For the final leg of her 2024 tour, I created a series of posters that feature intricate patterns made from class jewelry, filling the space with vibrant, ornamental details that mirror the richness of her music. This tour marks a pivotal moment in her growing career, especially after the success of her Muganga EP in 2023.

For the title of the poster displaying IDLIBRA's name, I used the Forum font with a few customizations. The L was created using the £ character, and the R/A ligature was also customized.

Bird is a Dutch independent accessories brand founded by Anja Fijma. In their Amsterdam-based atelier, Bird is handcrafting raincovers to protect precious, beloved handbags from bad weather conditions.

The brand creates protection the same way a person would for its loved ones or like a bird cares for its offspring, hence the name.

For Bird’s logo, Fijma customized Grand Slang (Nikolas Type) and paired it with Grand Slang Italic and Tenor Sans by Denis Masharov for the overall identity.

Apoc Revelations is the brand typeface of Dia Elis. The visual identity for the Greek olive oil producer was developed by G Design Studio, who comment on their work:

Inspired by the platonic ideals of rhythm and harmony, and the Olympic ideals of respect, fair play and physical prowess, we created a holistic identity that speaks to the past while looking to the future.

The logo is a female runner, sprinting ahead with the vigour and vitality bestowed by the product. Her dynamic silhouette recalls the red-figure vessels of ancient Greece. The steady pace of her heartbeat and breath is rendered in the sparse layout of the elegant typography, which creates a sense of rhythmical movement.

G Design Studio performed a comprehensive branding strategy, crafted the storytelling and conceived the structural packaging, a lightweight but load-bearing lid that is easy to pick up. The purple color pop when opening the packaging creates an element of surprise.

On the packaging, Apoc is paired with Relevant. The website pairs the logo in all-caps Apoc with text rendered in Forum.

Green coffee pamphlet front cover

This pamphlet is included in a green coffee retail box. It tells the story of the farmers in Nicaragua who supply the beans and the company Aroma Nica in Canada that imports them. The printing was done by The Newspaper Club on their 45 gsm salmon paper for a beautfiul feel and finish.

The typography features a number of diverse typefaces. The Aroma Nica logo brings together Monarcha Italic and Tenor Sans. Memoriam with swashes is paired with condensed Knockout caps for the title “Coffee with a conscience”. The text is set in upright Monarcha. Elephant and Casey appear in supporting roles for numbers, quotes, etc.

This is a recruitment poster for a buyer's shop called Code Me. The building in this poster is the appearance of the buyer's shop. The whole illustration is depicting a person holding a trumpet in the shop to tell everyone about the recruitment information. Since the overall image is lively and interesting and the patterns are complicated, Bazinga chose Tenor Sans which is a more concise but without losing the advanced sans serif as the main font. And for the small fonts, she selected Innova as the basic font which let font weight changes to increase the sense of hierarchy.

This beautiful identity for Hanson Road Flower Co. —a one-woman floristry business, based in Melbourne, Australia — ​features JAF Domus Titling paired with Forum. It was developed by d-co, a graphic design studio in Toronto. Note the W, which is in fact made of two overlapping V’s and not an alternate in the font.

On closer inspection, it shows that the self-made custom W would have been even better by adjusting the crossing of the two characters: as it is used now, it looks too heavy in the middle.

Forum in use for the Phono festival teaser poster

The phono festival is a major yearly music happening in Norway. This year's designer is Jacob Lysgaard, from Lysgaard Systems.
