German type designer, 1903–1970. Son of Friedrich Bauer. Not related to Friedrich W. Bauer. Employed by the Bauer foundry from 1928 on (from 1948 to 1968 as Art Director). All typeface designs made together with Walter Baum. [Klingspor-Museum]
