Jim Moore studied advertising design at Boston University and started his career as Associate Art Director in the city’s leading advertising agency. In 1962, he joined Typographic House, Boston, a company founded in 1938 by Michael Brotman. From 1967 until his retirement in 1991, Moore served as President of Typographic House. In 1984, he acquired the company together with Peter Brotman (1941–2016), the founder’s son.
