Designed for a small bakery known for its breads and sweets, this logo combines warmth and charm with a vintage-inspired look. I wanted the brand to feel handmade and inviting, so I centered the mark around a buttercup flower—simple, sweet, and approachable—paired with a honeybee to reinforce the idea of natural ingredients and care.

The brand’s typography is set in Montecatini, which has just the right amount of character and elegance for a bakery. The pink-and-black color palette keeps things soft but grounded, and the circular badge format gives it a timeless, bakery-seal feel.

This was made to work across packaging, labels, and signage—anything that needed to feel like it came from a cozy, quality-first kitchen.

The logo appears on both a white on white striped background as well as kraft packaging.

Aloom is a gastronomic lab based in Brasilia that aims to create the wow effect in every bite. As it offers a premium experience, the visual attributes were developed to express part of its impact.

To build a unique identity for the brand, we created a palette of vibrant colors and geometric forms that recall the shapes and textures of Aloom's desserts.

The visual identity was inspired by mid-century typography, with a mix of textures and colors, where form is as important as function. The use of fonts with different weights and styles is a modern take on retro that communicates the tradition of recipes in contrast to the innovative proposal offered by the brand.

To create a contrast of heights, Tipofili’s Montecatini is combined with Font Bureau’s Benton Sans. The former is a clean and elegant font that is versatile for subheadings and long texts, while the latter brings strength and prominence to titles and brand phrases.

Barco Verde Hostel is a cozy hostel on Isla Holbox in Mexico. With comfortable rooms just next to the beach, it offers high-quality service, calm and elegance. The positioning and branding are inspired by slow lifestyle, island vibes and the friendliness of the everyday beach sunset meetings that both locals and travelers enjoy together.

The visual identity design by Celia Grandhomme Agency uses Voyage for the main logo, and Oil Can for alternate versions. Espresso is used for text details.

The design comes with goodies and ephemera, some of them adorned with additional typefaces: the post cards re-use found type from vintage postcards; the business cards feature Metropolis 1920 and Montecatini.

Bahia-based Baiani produces “tree to bar” chocolate: the same producers take care of everything, from the cocoa planting to the shaping of the bars. We made the first batch of chocolate packaging and recently repositioned the brand for its new phase.

The main goals were to use packaging to emphasize product quality: to show tradition carried by Bahia; and to create a versatile system to accommodate several product lines.

The typographic puzzle of the packaging had to be well balanced to create this system, and the fonts needed to express the brand’s personality at the same time.

Montecatini and Italian Plate No2 are paired, with high scale contrast. Interestingly, both typefaces have Italian inspiration but they fit perfectly in a Brazil-inspired product. In typographic selection, we can always embrace the origin of the fonts or play with it. In the case of Baiani, the historical DNA of the type was used not to simulate a location, but to create a sense of tradition and cultural heritage. In addition to these two, the quirky and unmistakable figures of Bely Display highlight the cocoa percentage – key purchase decision information.

This project also aims to show in practice “the value of multi-typographic design”, a famous Bethany Heck article on how to deploy multiple typefaces in a graphic design project. The chocolate bar lettering and Baianí logo was custom designed at Plau.

Finn Hall, located downtown at Main and Rusk in The Jones on Main in the JPMorgan Chase & Co. Building, is Houston’s premiere food hall, consisting of 10 independently operated eating establishments and two bars.

The structure of Finn Hall is summarized in the motto “Come One, Eat All”, set in Montecatini (Louise Fili). It is used as a lettering on one of the eatery’s windows, and on the homepage of the website that uses Twentieth Century Condensed and Della Respira. More custom lettering on walls, bags and tray liners can be found on the instagram account of Guerilla Suit who designed the branding.

Domaine "Les Hautes Roches" (The High Rocks) is a Cru of Tavel, a wine-growing Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée in the southern Rhône wine region of France, across the Rhône River from Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC and just north of Avignon. Tavel produces nothing but rosé wines. Tavel is one of the few rosé wines that can benefit from aging.

Menu design for Crawford & Son Restaurant’s guest chef series Oakwood & Friends with acclaimed chef Sean Brock. Menu was a throwback to ’80s French Nouvelle cuisine and its heroes like Paul Bocuse and Joel Robuchon.

We just sold the project to a client in Amsterdam. So it is not a fictional project anymore.! Yeaaah! Soon it will be available in some stores and will be updating its status as soon as we get more details. For now I've just updating the new images with the new tagline.

As with Macklemore’s previous single Glorious, the cover type is Harbour, in outline and drop shadow — and the ‘M’ of Marmalade has been customised.

The most recent issue of Print magazine represents another early use of Montecatini. Typography by Louise Fili, cover photo of Jessica Hische by John Keatley.

Perhaps the first use of Montecatini since its release in May is by the studio that designed the typeface.

For his Glorious single, rap artist Macklemore invited fans to insert their own picture into a blank verion of the cover design, and upload to Instagram with the hashtag #ifeelglorious. There are also versions with his heroes, including David Bowie and Barack Obama.

The cover type is Harbour, in outline and drop shadow.
