Wriggler is a Spectrum and Amstrad maze game published in 1985 by Romantic Robot. […] Wriggler is based around maggot racing other maggots. The player controls a maggot and has to escape a maze consisting of 256 screens.

The title on the cover uses Glowworm (Mecanorma, 1975). “Romantic Robot” is in Sinaloa (Letraset, 1974). Its R also appears for their logo.

Open Glowworm (Mecanorma, 1975) and blood-dripping Bottleneck (Letraset, 1972), used together on the picture sleeve for Amanda Lear’s disco hit “Blood & Honey”. The single was released in late 1976 with “She's Got the Devil in Her Eyes” as the B-side. The design sadly isn’t credited.

Bogdan Żochowski’s Glowworm is easily distinguished from similar faces like Frankfurter Highlight (Letraset, 1978) or Pluto (Face, 1969/1970) by its asymmetrical M.

This packaging design for “roasted peanuts in shell” uses all-lowercase Glowworm. Own scan of the packaging after buying it on a trip to Italy. The company Noccioltost uses the typeface on several other peanuts products too. Their logo is based on Futura Bold with added diagonal stripes.

Glowworm Compressed on the sleeve of the only release by Caribou. Designed by Polish designer Bogdan Żochowski (1936–2006), Glowworm was released by Mecanorma, the French manufacturer of dry transfer lettering sheets, in 1975. The Compressed width followed shortly after.

Some sources give 1977 as recording date for this record while others give 1979, so it’s hard to tell if Caribou was a Cortex side project or Alain Mion’s short-lived following band after the disbandment of Cortex. Stupid lyrics but first class french JazzFunk. Rare French pressing only on Eurodisc label.

Printed flyer to promote a DJ set by Intra Hora at Stranded FM. All typography is set in Glowworm with some small tweaks. The y in the word “BY” is the lowercase glyph but pulled up and set on the baseline. I added a small serif to the lowercase m, mirroring the terminal of the lowercase f. New glyphs were created for the use of numbers.

Book of the City of Dreams: Vol. I is a forthcoming book from Gambol, which is the name of my tiny (very) personal publishing house. It's an illustrated collection of dreams, of the bizarre and fantastical, that exists somewhere in the land of books for children and childish adults. Sans Shaded and Glowworm are both nostalgic fonts from before my time. They’re playful and bold—which I think works well with the material within—and cartoonish, like the best of dreams. The Gambol logo uses lowercase letters from Alte Haas Grotesk.

Zdenka Kovačiček (b. 1944) is one of the most prolific pop vocalists on the Yugoslavian, and later Croatian, music scene. Her album Frka was released in 1984 and contains some of her most popular singles, including the title track which was covered by the acclaimed Croatian synth-pop group Nipplepeople. This same picture by Saša Vukašinović was used in Kovačiček’s 2017 greatest hits collection. The cover includes Choc, designed by Roger Excoffon (France), and a condensed version of Glowworm, designed by Bogdan Żochowski (Poland) and released by Mecanorma. The result exemplifies Yugoslavia’s strong participation in Europe-wide music and design trends.

The “LeftTWIX or RightTWIX” campaign uses Glowworm Compressed as primary typeface. Bogdan Żochowski’s rounded face with highlights appears on the site built on Tumblr as well as on the packaging.

This poster for an international labor sporting event was designed by Grapus, using Glowworm, a typeface created by the Polish designer Bogdan Żochowski for Mecanorma, the French Letraset competitor. Glowworm (1975) predates the slicker and better-known Frankfurter Highlight (Letraset, 1978) by a few years.
