Trap* was paired with Gangster Grotesk for a clean and edgy aesthetic for my portfolio website. Created by Aayush Manyank, Trap* is a contemporary sans serif typeface that works across all sizes, with deep ink traps help with legibility in smaller sizes.

IdealisteWorld is a design practice by Lucas Gonçalves exploring the idea of an ideal world. Through this thought process the League for Spiritual Discovery was found; a spiritual organization inspired by the works of Timothy Leary in the mid-to-late 1960s.

On this League T-shirt, the lysergic and counterculture feeling is shown by the history of the logo of the League and by evoking the name of the man himself; Timothy Leary, the use of a more psychedelic font is not needed.

Brandpad is a service where designers can share, control and modify styles guides and assets with their clients. In September 2019, for their typography showcase month, Brandpad replaced the usual typeface on their website, Graphik by Commercial Type, with a different typeface every week. The idea was to illustrate how changing only its font can affect a visual identity and the feelings that it conveys.

During the first week of September, Brandpad’s website was therefore entirely typeset in Gangster Grotesk, a typeface in three weights that is free for both personal and commercial use. The subsequent weeks, the website was temporarily typeset in Styrene, then in Reader and lastly, in Favorit.

Although it is now back to normal, you can still appreciate the impact that changing its font had on the website's look and feel.

Maous is a graphic design studio run by Anton Moglia in Paris, France. The minimal yet warm redesign of their website features NewParis by Swiss Typefaces and Gangster Grotesk, designed by Adrien Midzic. The agency's logotype was custom made.

NewParis KingSize Air Italic is used throughout the website for headlines, while different weights of Gangster Grotesk are used in both text, menus, and other smaller elements. Gangster Grotesk is available as a free download on Fresh Fonts.
