Mediäval-Egyptienne (Lg.-Nr. 607) is Schelter & Giesecke’s name for a design that originated at Stephenson & Blake [Wetzig 1926–40], shown in 1886 [S&G specimen]. Bauer had a very similar typeface of the same name. Both are closely related to Bookman, and appear to be based on one of its precursors.
