A series of romans that originated at the Haenel foundry soon after 1830. See Haenel-Antiqua fett for the fat style. Original matrices were acquired by Klingspor in 1918, as part of the Gronau foundry. Klingspor issued a recut in 5 styles: Antiqua fett (1931), Antiqua schmalfett, Kursiv fett (1932), Antiqua (1933), and Kursiv (1934). Also spelled Hænel-Antiqua. [Bertheau]
In 2001, Gerhard Helzel digitized a single roman style. Ralph Unger made Haenel Antiqua Bold Condensed (RMU, 2020).
