Designed in-house and issued in 1903 by Berthold as Aviso or Aviso-Kursiv, followed by the bolder Aviso-Kursiv halbfett. [Wetzig 1926–40] Registered in Jan. 1903 as Zirkular Cursiv Aviso [Reichsanzeiger] and in Aug. 1903 as Aviso-Cursiv. [Reichsanzeiger] Sold by Fondografica as Sondria and Brescia. [Reichardt 2011] Reichardt suggests the existence of an upright Aviso (1902), too, but that appears to be a mix-up with Secession.
