Humanistic education has been present since the University of Navarra’s beginnings. It was transmitted almost by osmosis, both within and outside of the courses. It was nourished by formal and informal exchanges between professors and students. It continued in after-dinner conversations and gatherings, in halls of residence, and in bars in Pamplona. This reality is still present and alive, and will continue to be so as long as the University of Navarra truly becomes a university.

Designed by WellDone and edited by Reyes Duro Rivas, this book chronicles the 25-year history of the University of Navarra’s Core Curriculum Institute. Its title translates to “The Adventure of Teaching Thinking”.

Love, Paati (“Love, Grandma” in Tamil) by Nethra Gomatheswaran unveils more than 140 ancient beauty and wellness rituals that have predominantly been passed down by word of mouth in South India and are sparsely documented. These rituals use over hundred ingredients ranging from familiar flowers, fruit, and spices to rarer ingredients like saffron, powdered pearls, and gold ash.

Through this book, delve into the heart of Indian beauty by exploring a range of infused hair oils, body scrubs, nourishing cleansers, revitalising masks, aromatic teas and quick bites to glow up from within.

Designed by Actual Friends and co-art directed by author Nethra Gomatheswaran, the book is using Grand Slang by Nikolas Type for its pithily and beautifully warm-vibed cover, paired with the DM Sans workhorse by Colophon. Inside the book, the font pairing is completed by Kometa’s Victor Serif

Best known for finishing as a runner-up in the The Apprentice (2006, UK edition), Ruth Badger has spent the almost two decades since quietly building one of the most effective and revered business consultancies in the country. To coincide with a new strategic direction for the business and the expansion of the senior leadership team to four equal partners, a new, refined brand was created, sporting an abbreviated name, RBC, that placed more emphasis on the business as a whole and spread the spotlight to beyond just Ruth.

The primary brand typeface is Bueno, used in all caps from the Semi Bold. It’s supported by Public Sans and Victor Serif Italic.

Built on top of their core belief – Our purpose is not something we do, it's who we are – Chetana is a coaching company for entrepreneurs, founders and leaders who are ready to lead more consciously.

Original wholeness, and genius, can be found in the waters of the present moment. Our identity for Chetana is based on the concept of the ‘river of consciousness’: the soft ripple between reality and consciousness, expressed through soft gradients that play together, a dual typographic system pairing Victor Serif and P22 Underground and a chromatic adjacent palette. The logo uses the Medium Italic style of Gelica.

Help Scout is a shared inbox solution and support platform used by customer-centric organizations around the world. Help Scout’s creative director, Matt Plays, led the development of Help Scout’s new visual identity, alongside an in-house brand evolution crew that spanned brand and product design teams. The rebrand signifies a shift into a more confident and product-led chapter for the company, which is reflected in the expressive type system and product-centric visuals used throughout the new website.

Help Scout’s VP of Brand, Kristen Bryant Smith, said of the rebrand, “We wanted our brand to reflect the simplicity and power of our product while emphasizing our belief that human interaction is at the core of strong customer experiences. We also needed to be bolder and more opinionated in order to stand out in a competitive market.”

Kristen goes on to say “Bold typography brings our messaging to life and compounds the impact of our visuals. Our type stack now includes expressive headlines and specialized faces for display, blockquotes, and more. This adds emphasis to the copy, making it easier — and more important — to make a statement.” Help Scout uses Garnett Bold as their primary headline font, GT America for an ultra-readable body text, FK Screamer for a display face, Victor Serif for an editorial flourish in sub-headlines, vanity metrics, and block quotes, and Space Mono for overlines, details, and annotations.

Haystack curates and produces high-quality, limited-edition prints from established and emerging artists around the world. They came to us with a simple, yet complex question: “How do we de-mystify and democratize contemporary art?”

To many of us, the contemporary art world feels inaccessible and intimidating. Newcomers don’t know how to discern quality and it can be hard to discover new artists when you don’t know where to look.

We led Haystack through a naming and branding process intended to make contemporary art accessible for everyone – intellectually and financially.

The identity channels the best qualities of great art; it’s whimsical, unexpected at times, and creates an experience around each edition that feels immersive. Each interaction with the brand feels like you’re discovering something new, learning a little more, and building a love for art—not just getting caught up in its value.

The primary typefaces in the new design are Min Sans from Typeji and Victor Serif from Kometa Typefaces. The logo is based on Reckless Neue (Displaay). The accompanying sans serif is Area from Blaze Type.

Bedding is an object that shares the beginning and end of our daily lives. Hour Minute Seconds worked on a design renewal for Seoul-based brand O, Revoir. The concept of ‘Memories of the Moment’ aims to convey a deep lingering impression at the beginning and end of our day through O, Revoir bedding.

The cloudy effect is used to visualize the lingering effects of the experience. O, Revoir’s application design evolves O, Revoir’s mood that can convey the warm and sensuous.

We designed O, Revoir’s business cards and shipping/return guides, as well as labels and box packages used in bedding.

The two brand typefaces are Victor Serif and Hoefler Text. The logo is custom drawn, with the v being based on Victor Serif’s italics.

We developed the branding for Le Collier de la Reine, a new bar and restaurant in Paris. The main typeface is Victor Serif by Kometa Typefaces, with Linotype’s Neue Helvetica featured in a complimentary role. Both are used in all caps.

Latest self-published book project of Nikolai Dobreff titled SOLO. It’s a selection of images he took and stories he wrote in South America some years ago. The book uses three different typefaces. One of them is Ambiant Sans Light by Laura Csocsán, the other Victor Serif by Kometa Typefaces, and the third one is Outward by Raoul Audouin (Velvetyne Typefaces).

Icarus Complex is launched in 2019 as both a website and a magazine. The aim of the bi‑annual publication is “to dissect humanity’s icarus complex, this idea that we have jumped off a cliff, mid-flight and confident in our own momentum, but in denial about the impending crash if we do not change course.”

The 120-page publication is both visually striking through its sleek design and compelling photography, and intellectually stimulating, through its quality and well-researched writing. With a clean and sharp design approach, the typography has a main role in the entire magazine, where, depending of the kind of article, it is used in more playful or more serious ways.

From logo to headlines and body text, the magazine uses Victor Serif, designed by Christian Jánský, and released through his Kometa Typefaces in April 2019. It is paired with another typeface by a Czech designer: F Grotesk (2011), a revival of Breite halbfette Grotesk by Radim Peško.

Besides the typography, the photography and the illustrations appears to emphasise the written content, giving sometimes a different perspective through the eyes of its author.
