Designed by Roger Excoffon (working title: Catsilou) [J. Mendoza y Almeida & G. Blanchard]. Originally issued by Fonderie Olive in eleven styles, starting with Nord in 1958, followed by Antique Olive romain (Regular) in 1960, Compact in 1961, and the remaining styles in 1964–71 [Chamaret/Gineste/Morlighem 2010]

Demi Bold and Bold Condensed were adopted by Letraset in 1978, together with Nord. [1978 ad]
