Designed by Albert Boton in an Ultrabold weight plus an Oblique for Studio Hollenstein in 1972 [Reichardt/Hoefer]. Shown in Hollenstein’s 1974 catalog in two variants, Pharaon 1 and 2. The latter has straightened bowls and shoulders. Not to be confused with Pharaon (Deberny & Peignot, 1933).

Pharaon (1) was digitally available from Monotype, but appears to be discontinued as of 2023.
