Jimmy Consulting is the consulting business of Hannah Pearson-Coats, located in Te Whanganui a Tara (Wellington), Aotearoa New Zealand. The website is designed by Hannah Pearson-Coats herself, and built by her partner Charles Munat. The typefaces Name Sans and Name Mono are used throughout the site, along with custom illustrations and lettering by Hannah.

The AIGA designed a brand system for their 2023 Design Conference with visuals referencing the New York city grid along with the classic Massimo Vignelli map of the Subway, but with a gradient-filled color palette. Name Sans is used as a typographic reference to the tile mosaics of NYC Subway stations.

The AIGA website additionally makes use of Neue Haas Grotesk and Freight Text, but those aren’t part of the conference branding.

Modern New York, written and illustrated by Lukas Novotny, designed by Lilly Marques, and published by Rizzoli Books, is a gorgeous book of architectural illustrations of NYC landmarks, plus a decade-by-decade history of the city over the last 100 years.

Designer/developer Sam Mularczyk used Name Sans beautifully to create a website which has a bit of personality, but elevates the games and content of Annapurna Interactive to center stage.

Using its variable Optical Size range, Name Sans is well suited for everything here, from large titles to smaller UI and body text.

Name Sans is used in a variety of optical sizes – Name Sans Display ExtraLight (with negative tracking) is used for headlines, while Name Sans Text is used for body copy and navigational text. A modification of Name Sans Text is used in the “Hall of Fame” logo artwork.

Name Sans, designed by Stephen Nixon after mosaic lettering found in the NYC subway system, in use on set of posters – one series among many different designs – intended to be self-printed and spread throughout New York City for the 2020 census.
