Future Viewfinder is a self-awareness tool for creative direction – designed to inspire you to “put your passions in places where you want to be.” This phrase, first written in my journal, has been my guiding mantra since early 2022. It reminds me – and now invites you – to seek out spaces that celebrate and elevate your unique passions.

The main card of the interactive print piece acts as a viewfinder – its die-cut, pixellated envelope design (linked to my monogram logo) invites you to press, push, and peek into your future.

I carefully selected typefaces that bring personality to the piece while dynamically filling the negative space of the die-cut. From a heavily condensed Grandmaster to the wide proportions of Afronaut. Their placement reinforces the project’s sense of movement and direction – shifting and changing as you engage with it.

Uplifting oranges, dreamy pinks and purples, and a hint of transformational teal – sourced from GF Smith Colorplan Papers – infuse the work with vibrant, forward-thinking energy.

UNEINS is a young magazine that uses critical and progressive voices to give new impetus to peace and conflict, initiate new debates and diversify existing discourses. The magazine thus aims to make connections between socio-political debates, peace and conflicts accessible to a broad, interested audience. As a magazine, it presents a variety of contributions: from classic academic articles, journalistic pieces and essays, to photography, illustration, poetry, and prose.

studiokwi was in charge of the logo development, the creation of a design system, the web design, and the barrier-free web development.

Ufficio Sans and Afronaut are the typefaces used for Conscious and Collective Love, an exhibition curated by Sandra Mawuto Dotou shown at the MK&G in Hamburg, Germany:

How do we define the concept of charity within a community, and how do we practice altruism in daily life? These are the questions asked by communication designer Sandra Mawuto Dotou in the exhibition project Conscious and Collective Love, which will be on view from 3 May to 21 July 2024 at the MK&G. The result is an exhibition designed in collaboration with the communities that serves as a place of encounter both for themselves and for visitors. On display are videos, photographs, and typographic and applied participatory works, including a card game and posters that are open for further creative contributions. Complementing the show is a selection of specialist literature.

Internationally celebrated rhythmic vocalist Loire Cotler sought our services to develop a vibrant, interactive website that not only showcases her unique musical style but also keeps fans updated. She envisioned the website as more than a portfolio, aiming for it to be an immersive gateway into her artistic world.

Our site combines audio-visual interactivity to reflect Loire’s energy and personality, drawing on our discussions about her music's mystical qualities. The design, with its carefully selected typography and colour scheme, is crafted to evoke the live performance experience for her audience.

The key goal was to create an intuitive and accessible platform, allowing both new and existing fans to explore Loire's music and provide an easy way to connect with her.

Designed to stand out, just like Loire herself, the website features a main interface where visitors can interactively experience her music. Interactive elements on the homepage, complemented by Loire’s tracks, aim to engage users in her rhythmic world.

This is the first poster in my travel series, based on photos I took during my adventures. It was during my stay in Rome that I thought that the best souvenir could be made by myself. This and subsequent posters contain elements from a given trip. In this case, we traveled with my fiancée, her sister and her boyfriend. We ate an incredible amount of delicious food.

Pulp and pigment. Sculptor Raphael Grotthuss is pushing the boundaries of paper. He’s exploring and inventing methods of paper manufacturing. His work is an interplay of his own artistic concept and skill, whilst embracing the unpredictability of paper as a living work material. Thus, using the same method in the same manner will inevitably produce varying outcomes.

Afronaut as a main typeface showcases this tension through its mix of constructive and organic letter features. It’s paired with Romie for the captions. With the documentary shots of photographer Louisa Marie Summer, book designer Dominik Schwarz created the rhythm of the book, following the process of the artist: Exploring, experimenting, exhibiting. Repeat. Exploring, experimenting, exhibiting. Repeat.

The book was published by Black Matter Editions.

Hiroko Biscotti for Todo Modo, a wine shop in the heart of the Santa Maria Novella district, in Florence, Italy. Packaging designed by Muttnik.

Swan Soda is a brand of natural soda water dedicated to human well-being. Their new visual identity is designed by Ukrainian Orchidea Agency.

The packaging combines different colours reflecting sodas’ tastes. The Swan logotype is set in Afronaut. In secondary roles: Times New Roman and Neue Helvetica Condensed. Each flavour is also accompanied by a dedicated illustration.
