Description of the exhibition by The Met:

Superfine: Tailoring Black Style explores the importance of style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora, particularly in the United States and Europe. Through a presentation of garments and accessories, paintings, photographs, decorative arts, and more, from the 18th century to today, the exhibition interprets the concept of dandyism as both an aesthetic and a strategy that allowed for new social and political possibilities. Superfine is organized into 12 sections, each representing a characteristic that defines the style, such as Champion, Respectability, Heritage, Beauty, and Cosmopolitanism. Together, these characteristics demonstrate how one’s self-presentation is a mode of distinction and resistance—within a society impacted by race, gender, class, and sexuality.

The exhibition is on at The Met in Gallery 999 from May 10 until October 26, 2025. The “Superfine” title is set in a modified Playground, with subtitles and body text in Wulkan (some all-caps titles using the alternate S from Stylistic Set 1) and ABC Monument Grotesk.

CAP Beauty, the self-described “destination for the best in natural effective skincare, plant based pantry goods”, uses Wulkan alongside Futura across their own in-house products.

U.F.F is a small silkscreen garment initiative that explores diverse storytelling methods. Images are used as tools to construct ideas and communicate layered meanings. Drawing from various influences in art, culture, and research, U.F.F creates wearable, thought-provoking pieces.

Their No Apparent Connection collection is using Wulkan Text Regular that was just freshly released by tekio.work, in combination with a yet unidentified sans serif. An accompanying zine pairs Wulkan with ITC American Typewriter and the bold weight of Carlsbad.

Get a first look at the refreshed brand and website for Nessie Research Lab, a consulting firm specializing in lead management, sales training, and process optimization.

The redesign focuses on enhancing website usability and improving the clarity of the logo and communication materials. The updated logo features wider, bolder letters for better legibility and removes the circle for a cleaner look, establishing a stronger relationship between “Nessie” and “Research Lab.” This new logo is based on ABC Gravity by Dinamo, known for its modern, clean lines and versatility.

Our design approach balances readability and modernity. For longer texts, we've chosen TWK Lausanne 400 by Weltkern, a clear sans-serif font, complemented by Wulkan Headline Regular by Jan Estrada-Osmycki for headings. This pairing ensures both legibility and style.

A full 360 brand development and launch for Sense, a sexual wellness startup unapologetically embracing the world of play. From that first electric brush of skin to the steamy ravishings that follow, with Sense, safety isn't an afterthought or an intrusion — but a seamless, organic part of our journey. With a sultry brand voice and bold visual identity (playfully dubbed "Body Language") to tantalizing product packaging, BUCK, dare we say, touched every inch of this brand.

The branding features Termina as the logotype, Wulkan as its headlining / display type, and Basis Grotesque for body text.

Surrealizm. Inne mity / Surrealism. Other Myths is an exhibition shown at the National Museum in Warsaw. Organized in the centenary of André Breton’s publication of the famous Surrealism Manifesto, it abandons the orthodox way of thinking about Surrealism itself as a historical movement with a specific time and geographical framework in favor of treating it as a global, inclusive and diverse phenomenon. The historical narrative will begin with work from the interwar period and end with the works of artists associated with the one founded in the 1950s, and in the 1960s, the international Phases movement.

The exhibition is an opportunity to get acquainted with the works of over sixty artists, including Marek Włodarski (Henryk Streng), Aleksander Krzywobłocki, Marek Piasecki, Fortunata Obrąpalska, Jerzy Kujawski, Erna Rosenstein, Władysław Hasior, Zbigniew Makowski, Jerzy Skarżyński, Urszula Broll and Max Ernst.

The branding for the exhibition is by Hekla Studio using Wulkan Display as the title font with support from Neue Haas Grotesk.

This ancient-soaked album titled sepr.online.works consists of compositions from the experimental root of electronic music. Some tracks are instrumental improvisations exploring synthesizers and acoustic instruments, including piano, accordion, Ukrainian bandura or prepared mandolin. Other compositions incorporate vocals and interwoven recitations, all in pursuit of intense forms of storytelling. The music stands out for its narrativity, multilayered sound spectrum, diverse range of emotions, and adept maneuvering between ambient, noise and drone genres. It is the debut of an-hoer – the Eastern European band from Poland.

Traverses School by My Little Paris offered a complete program of online courses and practical exercises, delivered by entrepreneurs, artists, inspiring authors and adventurers, to help us gain confidence in our own creativity. The school closed its virtual doors in December 2023.

The visual identity combines two typefaces. Titles and numbers are set in Dida. The accompanying serif used in roman and italic styles is Wulkan.

Winner in AIGA’s 50 Books | 50 Covers competition

Velo 22 is a restaurant and bar in Krakow, Poland. Branding by Radość and interiors by Grycaj Studio. The visual identity including the logotype uses Wulkan, with support from Sporting Grotesque.

Branding and fit-out for for gastro pub and brewery GRAIN, located in Hong Kong. Designed by Australian based Collective Objective:

Just as the venue itself and the innovative processes take something historical or traditional and give it a modern refreshed twist. Our brand solution built upon this idea by utilising vintage-inspired engravings and illustrations to build a visual journey of grains. From field to glass and plate, with some added quirkiness along the way.

Wulkan Display and Lato are paired throughout the branding.

Fleur Marché is a range of female-focused CBD / plant-powered products. Their patches are sold in a wide array of specialty retailers nationwide including Nordstrom, Anthropology, Urban Outfitters. Titles are set in Wulkan Display with support from Sofia. The logo appears to be based on MN Latin (with a modified R).

Wulkan Display embroidered on various clothing items by Hey Studio for their in-house goods brand Hey (Hey Shop).

Laser cut and hand painted corten steel wayfinding system for Pink Sands Resort in the Bahamas featuring Wulkan – with stylistic set 03 in use for the capital R (with a pointy right foot). Design by Helium Creative.

Wulkan Display in use for Sundays at the Triple Nickel –

a documentary short about a woman named Marjorie Eliot, who has hosted a weekly Sunday jazz party in her apartment (located at 555 Edgecombe Ave.), in the Sugar Hill section of Harlem, for the past 25 years.

The project was created by Jess Colquhoun and her team at Stept Studios with support by Crown Royal. Forth+Back was brought on to design the titles as well as promotional material for the film release.

The cover for the May 2022 issue of Austin Monthly was designed by Sara D’Eugenio. “Road Trips” is set with Faroe, designed by Andrei Robu and released in March 2002 with Typeverything. The magazine logo is based on Domaine Display by Klim Type Foundry.

Identity and packaging design for the UK premium menstrual cups brand The Un Company by A Project By, using Riposte and Wulkan.

Get out of the hallucinations of the Americana neighborhood for a while and visit us in the quiet neighborhood Vallarta San Jorge, soon from the beloved Minerva; "BOCCHINARA" by @renatapetersendlt is currently mounted in our space.

Bocchinara is an exhibition showing the work of Renata Petersen. The typeface selected for the exhibition is Wulkan from TDF. Agrandir from Pangram Pangram is the gallery’s stalwart typeface, used for information as well as for the gallery logo on the light box sign.

Poor Toms is:

the progeny of two best mates. They share ‘Thomas’ as a middle name, a suspicion of tradition, and a passion to bring real pleasure to people’s lives. [...] Named after King Edgar’s character in Shakespeare’s King Lear, Poor Tom personifies the modern larrikin spirit that is quintessentially Australian. We make drinks that uniquely capture a time and place, driven by curiosity and imagination.
