Futura Extra Bold Condensed

Not part of Paul Renner’s original Futura series by Bauer. See Futura Condensed for the lighter condensed weights. Futura Extra Bold Condensed (or Extrabold Condensed) with oblique originated at Intertype, just like Futura Extra Bold by Edwin Shaar (1952). The upright is shown in a 1954 specimen, the oblique followed in or before 1958. Not explicitly credited to Shaar.

Included in the digital versions by Bauer Types (as Cn ExtraBold), URW (as Cond ExtraBold), Elsner+Flake/Scangraphic, Linotype, ParaType (as Cond ExtraBold), and Bitstream (as Condensed Extra Black); with various differences in the details.
