A caps-with-small caps typeface designed by John Hudson, “inspired by modern calligraphic interpretations of classical Roman capitals by German lettering artists, particularly the work of Werner Schneider, on which it is closely modelled. The Aeneas family contains three weights (regular, light and dark), and each weight is supplemented by a set of alternate, swash and ligatured characters.” Retired from circulation when Schneider’s superior Senatus was released.
