Designed by Arno Drescher and issued by Ludwig Wagner in 1936. A bold weight named Arabella Favorit was added in 1939. [Reichardt 2011] Both have wider swash initials plus an extra alternate swash ‘T’. Later cast both by Johannes Wagner in West Germany and Typoart (1948) in East Germany.

Digitizations of the original weight by Mike Allard as Heather (DeNada Industries, 2000, shareware; improved in 2010 by Mario Arturo as Better Heather) and by Dieter Steffmann as Arabella (2000, non-commercial use). Ralph Unger’s Arabella (profonts, 2006) is the only version to cover both weights, with the initials incorporated as swash alternates.
