Designed by Heinz König. First issued by Genzsch & Heyse in 1888 as Deutsche Druckschrift (lit. “German printing typeface”) and expanded with larger sizes in 1916/1922. [Seemann, specimen] Accompanied by decorated initials as well as a set of ornaments and border elements named Deutscher Schmuck (“German decoration”), both by Eduard Ege.
