An angular typeface inspired by a handful of glyphs W.A. Dwiggins sketched in 1937 for the Experimental No. 223 project to illustrate his “M-formula” technique of sharpening features meant to be seen at small sizes. [Unger] The M in “M-formula” stands for “marionette”, since Dwiggins also applied the method in his puppet-making. A preliminary version was released in January 2021 via Future Fonts.
