A bold, future-facing rebrand was architected for Clarify Health, a leading healthcare analytics provider, to set the blueprint for its next evolution. Founded in 2015, Clarify uncovers insights hidden within healthcare data, translating them into actionable decisions that reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Designed by Practice Inc, the whole rebranding is using Fabio XM as their brand typeface, paired with a custom logo.

The brand identity of Ekle was designed by Rob Reuland, using Fabio XM and Rockwell. From the designer’s website:

Ekle is a music academy and community built around lessons for life and creativity rather than technique alone.

Ekle’s logo is composed of simple geometric shapes that can easily disassemble to form a symphony of notes or act as an interactive instrument in an online context. The logo has the potential to change or remain in a state of motion, capturing the energy and excitement of music.

Designed by Louisa Victoria Clever for her Master thesis at HfK Bremen, Patriarchat mit Todesfolge (“Patriarchy with fatal consequences”) aims at interrogating on gender-based violence worldwide. The project includes an installation (230×120 cm) and a publication (40×57,4 cm). From Clever’s Instagram post (translated):

Gender-based violence is one of the most common human rights violations worldwide and the numbers continue to rise. We should move away from the idea that the obvious is enough to overcome patriarchy. The patriarchal structures are deeply rooted everywhere in our system. They are in business, politics, family life and our legal system. These structures provide the breeding ground for the highest level of patriarchal violence: femicide. Hardly discussed or ignored by the system for years, the numbers are still enormously high today. We have to work together to overcome this system and one step among many is thematic discussion. In order to be able to remedy the grievances, we need to know where they come from and where they reach. This is exactly where we have to start and change the system from the ground up so that all people in a society can live equally and self-determinedly.

Estudio Paloma created a new packaging for Tarta de Queso using Bourbon St from Typeverything for the main identity. Additional typefaces used across the packaging are ITC Garamond, Fabio XM and Nautica.

Es stand in der Zeitung (“It was in the newspaper”) is a collection of articles designer Lara Redmer’s father has written on regional history, originally published in the local Nahe-Zeitung newspaper and now self-published as a book. Lara Redmer comments:

When we covered typesetting at Shillington, I was 100% sure a book would be the last thing I’d ever design. But when my dad asked me for formatting help with his Word document during Christmas 2022, I said “you know that I can actually typeset and design this properly?” Well, be careful what you promise.

The chosen typefaces are GT Alpina by Grilli Type and Fabio XM by Giulia Boggio.

&Compagnie is a co-working space composed of a collective of architects, designers and social entrepreneurs who share an office space in the Diksmuidelaan in Brussels.

The logo and branding as well as copy on their website is set in Fabio XM, using the funky ampersand as a main asset in their communication. Design by Somekind Studio.

Giada Bossi is a film director based in Milan. For the restyling of her website, focused mostly on showcasing her video work, we decided to use a combination of Milkman (for the funky mix of Old English) and Fabio XM for the copy and credits.

Monde Interieur is a zine created during the COVID-19 pandemic as a means of exploring the uncharted territory of people’s inner worlds in a time of stasis:

What does “inner world” mean to you? Is it your home or your bedroom? The inner workings of your mind - your dreams, imaginings, moods? Or is it, perhaps, the most intimate corner of your private life?

Issue 2 is loosely based on the little superpowers we call the senses. An ode to the richness they bring to the unique landscapes of our lives:

There’s a pilgrimage from Porto up the Atlantic Coast on the Camino de Santiago, an artist’s residence on the island of Mallorca, a stop in San Sebastian to talk about the weather, and then off to Copenhagen for a conversation on clay. We make our way to Santa Barbara to wax lyrical about figs and other fresh fruits, and finally, back to London for a talk about voice at Diogenes the Dog in Elephant and Castle.

As part of a Berlin-wide initiative, the Department of Culture of the Bezirksamt Neukölln is organizing a festival around the Kunstbrücke am Wildenbruch from August 19 to 21, 2022: Unter der Brücke: Auf der Schwelle (“Under the Bridge: On the threshold”). Over the course of three days artists and artists’ collectives will present sound, dance and movement performances, a jam session and an interactive theater performance.

Identity and assets designed by Jihee Lee, a freelance graphic designer from Seoul, currently living and working in Hamburg, Germany. Headlines are set in Fabio Funk (a variation of Fabio XM by Giulia B.) with a customized W, while copy is set in Joseleen by Jung-Lee Type Foundry (J-LTF), an Amsterdam based independent type foundry, founded in 2015 by Jungmyung Lee.

Sibson’s productions have been described as “King Tubby at the controls of a Mexican mariachi band; Paul Weller kissing the Kosmos with Brendan Lynch; Weatherall & Nicolson rejigging Galliano”. […] His sets, drawing on percussive rarities, cosmic stompers, dream house, hair-raising dub and jazz-flecked disco curveballs, have seen him do several trips around Europe and well-received sets on radio stations like Le Mellotron (Paris), Red Light Radio (Amsterdam), Kiosk Radio (Brussels) and Radio Raheem (Milan). Mikey also runs London’s Elevator East party, an underground gathering of heads that offers the chance to hear eclectic, no-holds-barred selections from trailblazing new talent and legends alike.

Type is set in Aldiviva Inverno by Victor Gérard and Fabio XM by Giulia B. The kit comes as a landscape-format pdf as well as in printed form.

One of Mikey Sibson’s main projects, Elevator East is a no-holds-barred leftfield disco party that has gained a reputation as one of London’s fastest growing underground parties, inviting selectors from around the world, and 45turns, a balearic music blog distilling new releases on vinyl and featuring long-form articles on global music cultures.

For their Dance for Afghanistan party, proceeds were donated to an organisation called Women for Afghan Women (WAW), dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan and New York.

Designed by Jana Keppens using Fabio XM, the new identity and website for design and architectural practice Konrad & Fraay is intended to be “a mix between modern and classic, between playful and serious.” A mix of XM and Brüt (its alternate square-dotted version) are mixed to create a contrast of soft and rigid.

Konrad & Fraay revolves around the power of extremes, rooted in our different professional backgrounds as interior designer and lawyer. We are determined to combine the best of both worlds.

For the second supper club hosted at 83 Dalston Lane we decided to keep the illustrative style and bright solid backgrounds but at the same time working with bolder typefaces.

Here Bogam (Bagerich Type Foundry) is used on the main headline and copy is set in Fabio Funk from the Fabio XM family.

The illustration depicts chef Fabrizio Ricotta himself – hence the specs and the curl ;) – serving a hot pasta dish at the event. The palette used is consistent with Fabrizio’s signature colours (tangerine and beige) and a couple new additions: green (from the last event’s poster) and mustard to keep the foodie vibe.

After Isolation is an exhibition gathering nine women artists from different mixed ethnicities dedicated to creating art under the theme of life after the pandemic.

Through different angles (mental health, social and environmental) we will study the capacity of human beings to be adaptable, and the possibilities of change that this situation has brought us: change we can bring to the world that needs so much of it. The exhibition will show prints, photography, video, paintings and more.

Fabio XM Brut is used for the typography. From Narrate Studio:

We designed an identity focused around the concept of ‘New Beginnings’. In order to effectively portray this without using any artworks (as most were not made yet) we explored nature which was also a key theme in many of the artists proposals. We worked with a time lapse film of flowers blooming which we then blurred to abstraction to remove any obviously floral references. As this exhibition is representing all women artists we felt it was important to use women & non-conforming creatives for the work which is why we chose to use the typeface Fabio Brüt by Giulia Boggio. Setting the typeface in electric blue caps, against the softness of the background, created a striking contrast of curves and edges.

How to brand a branding studio? How to design a web presence for web designers? How to write copy for copywriters?

There seem to be two ways to achieve this seemingly impossible task. A badass way of imposing authority through awesomeness and swagger. And then there is the other way.

A way of connection through being approachable, human and weird. Fabio XM helps to achieve just that for a minimal slash brutalist slash reverie–esque meadow green one–pager.

Meadow Green is a small full-service studio offering web design and branding and copywriting for humans by humans, warts & all.

Website for London-based photographer Karolina Burlikowska. Karolina requested a very simple one-page structure and no scrolling, so we decided to create an infinite gallery with an index navigation page and minimal text. Following the idea of simple but with character, we decided to associate a gradient background getting deeper and darker while progressing in the selection.

The font used is a variant of Fabio XM called Fabio Brut. In the Brut style, the round dots of Fabio XM are substituted by sharp-edged square forms to give this typeface a brutalist and dry feel.
