Readeat is a bookstore in Kyiv and an online book service. Here readers can find books for all tastes: fiction, comics, non-fiction, publications for children, teenagers and adults in Ukrainian and foreign languages.

Bookshelves of bookstores are divided not only by genres or categories, but also by moods and periods of life. So everyone can choose their ideal copy for reading.

For the visual identity, designer Roman Barnanovsky used Kamenyar. The Readeat logo uses ITC Barcelona.

Bad Feeling is an editorial student project made at UQAM. It fetches entries from online forums such as AskReddit and Ask Pandas. Each publication is created around a specific theme related to emo­tional and psychological struggles.

The fonts used in this project are Neuzeit S by Arthur Ritzel and ITC Barcelona by Ed Benguiat.

Épinal prints were made at Imagerie d'Épinal, a printing house founded in 1796 in Épinal (France). They are rendered in bright sharp colors thanks to the mechanical aquatype process. This French machine from the beginning of the 20th century replaced the hand stencil method to produce large series.

The photos shown here are from a series of sheet music probably printed in the 1980s. The fonts in use include Vendôme (1952), ITC Barcelona (1981), and ITC Souvenir (1970).

Since 2012, Liverpool Biennial has used ITC Barcelona in all of their main advertising and as their brand font. In 2016, they began to mix the typeface with symbols and icons.

“A Practice for Everyday Life (APFEL) has created an identity system for boutique hotel One Leicester Street, with interior design by Universal Design Studio. The hotel is the latest addition to Singapore hotelier Peng Loh and chef Tom Harris's Unlisted Group, and is located in the former St John Hotel in London's Chinatown. (Harris was head chef at St John and earned a Michelin star there in 2012). Working with Comradettes, who designed staff uniforms and Sister Arrow, who provided menu illustrations, APFEL and UDS were set the brief of designing a brand identity that extends beyond a logo and ‘permeates through every part of the hotel and restaurant.’

The mix of old and new is also at the centre of APFEL's identity system, which combines traditional serif type with sleek design. Menu illustrations by Sister Arrow (George Mellor) reference 17th and 18th century botanical drawings but use neon colours for a contemporary and slightly psychedelic feel, while 'do not disturb' signs (below) feature silhouettes of kissing couples and dusting maids instead of the usual message.”
