In celebration of their family expanding, Bart Kiggen and Magali Elali of Keen studio created a 28-page magazine-like booklet for friends and family about their new son:

Our second son Saul Ray was born on August 18. We made a 28-page magazine celebrating his birth, beauty, flowers, typography, and colours for this marvellous occasion. It serves as an introduction to people and ideas we think will be valuable in his life.

The illustrations are references to Basquiat, the Moon landing, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller, Keith Haring, Saul Leiter, Saul Bass, Saul Hudson (Slash), Saul Williams, Flowers, Where The Wild Things Are.

The cover is an abstraction of a wild sunflower that blooms in August, his birth month. The colours are bright, and most of the text is set in bold, colourful type. The magazine is printed on Munken Pure Rough, a nice paper with natural colouring and a tactile feel.
