Designed by Herman Ihlenburg and originally patented by MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan/ATF in 1894 as Houghton. Comes with alternates (open and closed g) and swash attachments. Issued shortly thereafter by Bauer & Co (and later Berthold) in Germany as Edison.
