Europa Text in use. “This circa 1910 European face was introduced into the United States by a German type foundry traveling salesman during the great depression of the 1930s.” — Solotype

The typeface in question is Salzmannschrift (Schelter & Giesecke, 1907). Solotype showed a phototype version as Continental Text. [Solo 1992] which was an alias used by Reardon & Krebs for Salzmannschrift in the 1950s.
