    <title>Aldine Ornamented in use</title>
    <link>https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/191321/aldine-ornamented</link>
<description>Aldine Ornamented in use. Patented by Page together with plain Aldine on March 15, 1870. Also produced by other manufacturers: “Hamilton […] offered Aldine Ornamented — renamed No 456 — after the 1891 acquisition of Page’s wood type company. Morgans &amp;amp; Wilcox showed a version of Aldine Ornamented, which was renamed No 3242 by Hamilton after the 1897 acquisition; and Wells showed the face as York Aldine No 3 Ornamented, which was renamed No 5274 by Hamilton after the 1899 acquisition.” [Shields]

A phototype adaptation is included in Headliners’ Morgan Press Collection as MP&amp;nbsp;309. Solotype had a variant without the mid-height ornamentation as Pyramid Shaded. [Solo 1992]</description>
