An unnamed condensed grotesque with mid-stem spurs and split shade. Comes with a second, very different set of open and shaded floriated capitals. Origin unknown. Shown by Figgins in c. 1870 and by Wood in c. 1874. Previously in Germany, 1866. [Gray 1976]
