L’heure bleue / The Blue Hour by Sergio Carvalho and artist Dimitri Mallet presents the work of the latter. From Éditions Dilecta’s website:

L’heure bleue (2022) is a museum installed in the middle of nature and dedicated to an artwork inspired by the eponymous phenomenon: a moment in the day when the sky is electrically blue and nature is completely silent. A platform, an in situ device, near this architecture, offers a space to experience the real phenomenon every day. Events and meetings around societal and cultural issues (ecology, history, biology, poetry, music...) will be organised there, once a month, throughout the year. This publication contains a selection of these meetings, as a precious testimony of the discussions and exchanges of the different speakers on their work and on the work in presence, within the Ellergronn forest.

Long Weekend examines the landscape of the mining industry as contemporary archaeological heritage. Licari explores how sand mining and artificial lakes as by-products of the process, have shaped the Limburg region. By inviting the visitor to enjoy a moment of relaxation in an indoor spa, Licari’s project is a reminder that industrial inventiveness constantly devises new ways to continue exploiting natural resources.

Minor History, directed by Asad Raza in 2019, is a portrait of Wahid, the 90-year-old uncle of the artist. This true storyteller was born in India in the 1920s, fled to Pakistan, joined the army there and came to the US in the 1980s. He now lives in a cold, snowy city and is a well-known eccentric in the pool halls. The film tries to map out the radical changes in consciousness that the world has gone through in one human life. Shots of Wahid in his everyday life are juxtaposed with footage in which he tells the camera about his past.

Studio-Théâtre Vitry identity

Visual identity for Studio-Théâtre Vitry designed by Cylindre Studio using Brook from MA-MA Type. Brook is a monospaced typeface revisiting old typewriter fonts. The family consists of two contrasting styles that complement one another: a straightforward roman and a fancy italic. This is the original application of the typeface, which was then still named STV.
