Part of Dash, a connected script typeface designed by Petra Dočekalová in four writing speeds and with alternates based on local preferred forms. Accompanied by research into the Familiarity Effect in the Perception of Handwriting by cognitive psychologist Héctor Mangas Afonso and writing models and their evolution by type historian Sébastien Morlighem.
“This fast version is more gestural, and highly personal, with a steep incline in the writing, which nonetheless remains comfortable to read.” Dash is also available in variable font format, with axes for weight, tracking, and speed.
