Produced in 2007 by the Pakistan Data Management Service as a Unicode-compliant font in OpenType format for writing Holy Quran text, with support for all aeraabs/mark placements and all waqfs (special symbols) used for identifying different pauses. The design follows the style of Yameen Dehlvi, who is one of the finest Quran calligraphers of Pakistan. Guidance and calligraphy of basic glyphs for the font has been provided by Mohammed Saleem, a student of Mohammed Iqbal Saeed (founder of Dar-ul-Tehreer Academy), Yameen Dehlvi and Shafiq-uz-Zaman.
