A heavy variant of Kabel that’s bolder than Kabel

[Photoscript 1970] Not yet shown in their
1968 specimen [Photoscript 1968]. The name suggests a
possible origin at Hardy/Lodwick (a.k.a. Hardy/Escasany/Lodwick), a
studio that was active in London in the 1970s – but that is
unconfirmed.
Also shown as Kabel Ultra (condensed) [Typeshop 1973] and Kabel Extra
Heavy [Typeshop c.1977]. Also shown in Castcraft’s Supplement A from 1981 and in a Monsen

Castcraft also carried a Kabel Black Ultra that
comes close to the wider style, but isn’t a perfect match.
