A digital version of Paul Renner’s Futura with vastly extended script support, produced by TypeTogether in cooperation with the trademark owner, Bauer Types, on the occasion of the typeface’s centennial. The plan is to eventually cover 23 scripts.

The first release (Sep. 2025) comprises 12 scripts (Arabic, Armenian, Cyrillic, Georgian, Greek, Hebrew, Khmer, Latin, Lao, Myanmar, PanAfrican, Thai), “each with six upright styles and matching obliques (as applicable), variable fonts, and an optical size option that increases spacing and adapts vertical proportions to improve readability in text sizes. In 2026 we will release 11 additional scripts which will include support for major Indic scripts as well as Simplified Chinese and Hangeul, covering more than 90% of the world’s population in total.” — TypeTogether

Lead design and concept: Veronika Burian and José Scaglione. Design direction for the Southeast Asia scripts by Anuthin Wongsunkakon and Smich Smanloh.
