Tip-Top or Tip-Top Reklameschrift was first cast in 1902 by the Julius Klinkhardt foundry, Leipzig.
Phototype versions include Topper [Lettergraphics 1968–1975], copied as Mauser [Castcraft 1978], PLINC’s Tip Top [PLINC One Liner 1971] and Berthold’s Tip Top [Berthold 1974]. Also adopted by Letraset, with a conventional ‘T’ [Letraset 1976].
There is a freebie digitization by Petra Heidorn (Tip Top, 2004) and Ralph M. Unger’s commercial Tip Top Pro (profonts, 2008), later renamed to TipTop.
