A 1850 design by Miller & Richard. [Reichardt 2011] Reissued by Stephenson Blake, adding an Open style. [1955 specimen]

Digital revivals include VTC Bloke (both styles, used for sample) and Hoosegow JNL. Canada Type’s King Tut extends the design to six weights. See also Egyptian Wide for a similar wood type and a revival thereof.

Not to be confused with Monotype’s Egyptian 72.
